A Burning Vengeance. . .

Ok. . This is the back story of my fic. . .
It takes place in Syds Missing Years. .

A Burning Vengeance

Sydney felt blood trickle down her cheek as she desperately clutched the wall in her apartment.
"You know you never even knew. . .You must be so stupid."
the fake Francie aka Alison Doren sneered as she aimed her gun at Sydney.
"You. . .You killed my best friend!" Sydney screamed as she lunged for her gun.
Just in time. . .
She looked up as Alison fired her gun.
Sydney ducked and grabbing her gun, she aimed at her worst enemy.
"This is for Francie. . " Sydney snarled as she shot Alison in the heart.
Once. . .
Twice. . .
Thrice. . .
Sydney watched as she fell to the floor clutching her bleeding chest.
Sydney continued to fire the gun until it finally emptied with a dull resounding click.
Sydney collapsed against the wall and werily closed her eyes and giving in to the beckoning darkness. . . .

Blinding bright lights. . .
Sydney's eyes snapped open as a man slapped her.
She sat up with a start and realised she strapped to a chair.
She looked around wildly.
She was in a empty caravan and a cold looking old man in a lab coat stood there hovering over her.
He pressed a knife against her throat and she gasped as he yanked her over to the tinted window.
She looked out and stared in muted shock and watched as her father and Vaughn stood at a mountain edge.
"Do you see them?
Do you understand what this means?" the man leaned down and hissed in her ear.
They were emptying a urn of ashes. . . .
Oh god. . .
Sydney struggled with all her strength and began to shout in horror.
The man just laughed creully.
"They wont be able to hear you. . ." he sneered his voice bearing a thick russian accent.
"You are dead Sydney Bristow.
Do you understand me?
You Are DEAD!" He hissed as she screamed in horror. . .

3 days Later. . .

Sydney gasped her arms flailing in the ice cold fetid water as a man held her head down.
She was sure she was going to drown. . .
This was all part of a test.
A test from hell to see how long she could endure being under water. . .
How long she could hold her breath. .
Gasping she resurfaced and breathed in deeply.
They had being doing these nighmarish tests on her. . .
Everyday. . She was violently awakened and the thrust into some violent type of torture.
They said they were trying to make her stronger. .
Make her the best agent and fighter that ever existed.
She wasnt sure how much more she would be able to take. . .
How much longer before she gave in?
Gave up.
She spat out the fetid water from her mouth as her trainer stood back and indicated that she could leave the pool.
As soon as she stepped out, the water streaming down her cold and bruised body,
he yanked her down the dimly lit stone corridor.
She couldnt even muster up the energy to push him away as he yanked open the heavy steel door to her temporary room where she slept.
"No! Dont. . ." she cried out but the creul man ignored her as he viciously flung her onto the stone floor.
She lay on the cold floor listening as he bolted the door from outside.
"I didnt realise you were here. . ." a soft voice spoke from the shadows.
Sydney looked up with a start.
"You. . .What are you doing here!?" she gasped as Sark slowly advanced on her and leaned down next to her.
He began to gently stroke her hair.
"Hush darling. .
They have hurt you so much. . . ."

Hi Sydney Derevko Bristow!
I hope you like my continue!

Sydney tried her utmost best to sit up and glared at Sark.
"What. . .What are you doing here?" she hissed.
He ignored her and continued to soothe her hair away from her face.
She watched then as he his amazingly gentle hands moved down her neck.
Sydney found her eyelids drooping. . .
She closed her eyes briefly
then wondering if this had to be a dream.
When she woke up the next morning she was sure that the previous nights visit from Sark had to be a dream.
As she stood under the ice cold shower 'The Covenant didnt provide her with warm water'
she found that her body still tingled with his phantom touch.
Her hand went to her neck. . .
And she could almost picture him.
Almost wished he was with her right now.
The day as usual was hell.
She was put through inhumane test after test
and each time she would suffer. .
Each time she would bleed she would fervently pray for death.
Anything to escape.
Or for that matter for the gentle touched Sark to take her away.
It was then that she asked herself if she was completely going insane.
How could she dream that a man who was once was her avowed enemy,
a man who she had tried to kill on various occasions was really going to come into her nightmare world and. . Rescue her?
She use to dream of Vaughn. .
Use to dream so much of her dad and even Sweet Nadia . . .
But now only Sark seemed to haunt her subconscious.
Her days always went by in a grotesque haze of pain. . .
And then whenever the guards and instructors got tired of her they would just unceremoniously dump her in her little cell.
And then Sark would come. . .
Almost like an angel of mercy he would get to his knees. .
And take away the pain.
She found herself silently crying. . .
As his light fingertips danced over her spine she so desperately wanted to tell him how before he had come she use to struggle to get to sleep.
She would be in too much of pain for sleep to come.
But his gentle hands. . .
They eased the pain away.
She glanced up at him as his hands dipped to her lower back.
"Are you. . .Are you real?" she gasped staring at his clear blue eyes and wishing she could bury her hands in his soft blonde curls.
His delectible crooked pink lips curved into a smile and she was sure a sarcastic remark would come next.
But much to her surprise he just leaned down and whispered in her.
"Sleep my Sweetheart. You have already suffered enough."
She closed her eyes gratefully relishing in his warm breath against her neck.
She had actually let him call her his sweetheart?
Nothing really mattered anymore. . .
Just him.

It was the next day that Sydney got the shock of her life.
Her so called instructor Mr Yang Cho was having a field day beating her up.
Sydney quickly regained her footing on the soft rubber mat and swung her leg out in a classic move in Karate.
Cho however forsaw her move and blocked it by violent grabbing her leg and shoving her to the floor.
He then proceeded to continuously kick her.
Her nose was bleeding. . .
She was so sure she was going to pass out. . .
When a crisp British voice spoke.
"Time Out. Thats enough."
he spoke his words a icy command.
Sydney's eyes snapped open and she nearly choked as she saw Sark striding towards a Rather annoyed looking Mr Cho.
"Her time isnt up yet." Cho whined.
Sark shot him an icy glare.
"I believe your job assignment was to train her. Not beat her to the death." Sark snapped.
He then dismissed Cho and leaned down next to Sydney his eyes narrowed. . .
And if Sydney wasnt mistaken. . .
A look of pain in his eye?
"Are you in charge here?" Sydney rasped the words out angry at herself that she had believed Sark had just been a dream.
The look in Sark's normally steely eyes turned to hurt.
"Do you really think i would let you be treated . . .Like this if i was in charge?" he asked softly as he gingerly helped her up.
After a moment of watching her struggling to stand woozily on her own two feet, Sark placed his arms on her waist and scooped her up into his arms.
She began to struggle instantly.
"Let me go! I can walk by myself!" she insisted as he slowly walked her back to her room.
"I suggest you have a shower and freshen up.
Dr Markowitz want too see you." Sark informed as he gently placed her down on her bed.
Sydney stared at him.
Her head was still whirling and she wondered if she was so dizzy because of her wounds or because of Sark's nearness.
Trying her best to get that thought out of her mind Sydney took a deep breath.
"Why does that Son of a bitch want to see me?" Sydney asked.
Sark sighed.
"You will get the results. . .On weather you passed your evaluation. . .Or not."
Sydney felt her blood run cold.
"I actually only passed my evaluation last week." Sark continued.
"You mean. . .You were being trained to?" Sydney asked her mind spinning.
All the missing pieces of the puzzle were finally beginning to reveal themselves. . . . .
Sark nodded.
"Sydney. . . I believe you have passed your test."
Sydney breathed out a repressed sigh of relief.
"However. . .I do believe they intend on sending us on a mission together." Sark completed watching her face closely.
Sydney nodded slowly.
She didnt know why. . .
But the knowledge that Sark would be there with her on the mission. . .
Oddly comforted her. . . .

I'm a little bit confused  I thought your story took place in Sydney's missing two years but you mentioned about Nadia. May be you choose to follow a different timeline, if that's the case nevermind me  Hope you continue.

Very good start to the story. I generally like Sydney and Vaughn to be together, but I really like this story with Sydney and Sark together. When you update can you please pm me? Thank you.
