I was watching TiTanic the other day and I never knew that VG played Mr.Andrews the man who built the titanic. I thougt it was sooo kewl...i know this has nothing to do with alias but I thought I would let others know who dont know that he's in that movie.

and i have another question concerning movies...the MV movies 'it had to be you','the curve' and other except 'NBK' and 'the next best thing'
does anyone know where I could buy/rent those movies....maybe a dumb question but I thought i would ask.

thanks

I didn't remember that he was on ... I saw Titanic like so many times ... I really didn't recall seeing him ... but, its good to know ...

Now I will have to watch it again!

Yep, he designed the ship and then went crazy as it went down. Wow I need to watch that again. :P

Well, I wouldn't put it that way. He knew that there weren't enough places for everyone to be saved and he felt (even though it wasn't his decision) partly responsible for that so he chose to go down with the ship and gave his life jacket away. His demeanor was one of despairing resignation--it was his flawed design that was largely responsible for the disaster. (Gee, I wonder if this performance is one of the ones that Mr Abrams was thinking of when he was thinking about casting Jack . . .)
;)

I'll be the first to admit that I started watching ALIAS because of Victor Garber...who was also one of the reasons I went to see Titanic (besides the fact that I was 14 and that was the  thing to do ;) )...not to mention the fact that I suffered through The Music Man...looove Victor Garber (swoons)

Same comment that you have. Also, do you have One Hour Photo? Micheal Vartan is in that.

So how did you find out about him? (I take it you go for older men?)

naah I just love to watch people who do what they do wonderfully...don't rememember where I heard about him...probably heard the broadway buzz and saw him in First Wives Club and Sleepless in Seattle...both good movies as well by the way

I'm old enough to have first seen him in Godspell, though I was pretty young at the time.

I first noticed VG in "Godspell" when it finally came out of video a few years ago. I have loved that musical for more than 30 years now, ever since I went with a church youth group to see it onstage when I was 13. But when I saw the video, I wondered who that cute kid was who played Jesus and what had ever happened to him. Then I noticed that on the video box it mentions that he was in "Titanic." I had seen that, of course, but really didn't notice him for some reason. So I watched my "Titanic" video again, but I had to look at the cast list to see what role he was playing. Otherwise, I don't think I would have recognized him. I still don't know why I didn't notice him the first time, but apparently I'm not alone there.

Now we all get to see him regularly in the best role he's ever had!

My mom actually said to me the other day that he looked like the guy from titanic, and I looked on the cover of the movie, and ta-daa it was him!

No, he was the designer/engineer of the Titanic. He was very heroic, trying to save lives, and ultimately went down with the ship.
;)
