OMG I HAVE ONE THING TO SAY...ALIAS IS BACK!!! We are actually starting to get all the elements that make alias such an awesome show. For some reason I thought the part where Dean was going crazy was halarious! The whole team being out on a mission was awesome, too. I actually really like pregnant Sydney. Sure she can't use all the crazy fighting moves, but now she got this whole, "I''m a mama," thing going on. I thought it was pretty cool when Sdyney's old professer showed up, but it was sad when he started asking her about her husband and stuff. Although she never said Vaughn was dead. She hasn't said he was dead once this season . What bother me is, they showed all of these pics of S/V for this episode. i din't see any ! Mia Mastero actually getting more than five seconds of screen time was pretty amazing :woot: !! I love Nadia! Hopefully these people will give Sloane the cure. Question is, where did they get it when nobody in CIA can find it? See how all these questions are popping up? This is how Alias should be!! Can't wait till it's new time slot on Dec.7, 2005!

I think that this episode was perfect. :woot:

Sloane did turn to Jack and the APO to destroy Dean as I predicted. And when Arvin was forced to kill Dean in oder to get Nadia the cure, he said "God, forgive me" which shows that he didn't want to do it out of evil, but out of his love for Nadia. If Sloane does get the cure for Nadia, he will turn on "The Twelve" out of his desire to live up to her expectation.

Sloane wants to be reformed, but circumstances are forcing him to be a double agent. They way that Jack explained to Sydney about Gordon Dean's reason for suicide, I suspect that Arvin has already confided in Jack about his newest trouble.

As Arvin told Jack and Sydney, he considers them to be his family. :D

This new season is back to where it should be, no Naughn, Sydney in danger from a mysterious enemy, teamwork in taking down the enemy, Sloane in conflict with wanting to be good but being forced to do bad things, nice a father & daughter moment, and good funny ending.

I almost feel sorry for the people who gave up on Alias. This is what Alias should be about. I hope that we won't be troubled with romance & angst subplots diluting the show with soap opera tendencies.

Of course, Erin at TWOP gave it a "B." Same grade as last week's. The hell?!!

I wouldn't put too much credence into her grades. I once e-mailed her about them and she told me that they don't really matter because most of time she's drunk when she recaps.

Great ep regardless.

If i remember well she said he was dead at the phone, about the golf magazine thing...no?
But i'll keep hoping too...!

It was a hockey magazine. Vaughn doesn't seem like a golfer to me.

I gave this a five. And I haven't given an episode a five yet this season. IT WAS SO GOOD! I loved the preview, and the professor from season one. And Marshall playing Twisted Sister for Dean's hallucinations!!!!!!!!!! The new night for Alias means that The Horizon is on my BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And for you spoiler geeks like me (disregard my sig) you know what the horizon means!!!!!!!! ABC's present to me!

Of course, Erin at TWOP gave it a "B." Same grade as last week's. The hell?!!

A lot of times when she comes out with the Recaplet, she gives one grade, and when she gives the actual recap, she gives another grade. A lot of it has to do with going back and understanding what EXACLTY went on. For Mockingbird, her recaplet was a "C+", but the actual episode received a "B".

Maybe when she goes back and rewatches the episode and writes the entire recap, she'll bump it up. Because I feel the same! LOL "Solo" in my opinion was one of the worst Alias episodes ever, where "Fait Accompli" was one of the best this season.

With all the references to "The 12", did anyone else notice the HUGE "12" on one of the building tops?? I think it was when they panned across the tops of buildings at the start of a scene in LA.

Man this episode I had my blood pumping. Slone's good at the beginning of the episode and then bad at the end. It's great that they keep flipping his true nature around by outside circumstances, because not knowing whether he's really true or not makes Alias true thrilling once more. And...oh...Sydney was just a doll. She was so funny and cute. Glad to see that Belthazar Getty's character Thomas Grace is shaping up to be an excellent opponent at APO...watch out you double dealing governments. The APO team is on the track and like always, they'll snuff, huff and tear you down. AHHHHHHHHHH....this episode was the best this season. I gave it the top ranking. :D (y) :woot:

Great episode. Love it love it! No words to describe what a fantastic episode this is...especially when Jack and Sydney was together at the end of the show. No Vaungh..who cares.

The numbers on the tops of builidings have been there since the very first ep, so I don't THINK they are significant, but you never know....

Did anyone else notice the guy who attacked Renee at the beginning was the same guy that did something to the security cameras at APO at the end when Sloane was going to kill Dean?! WTF? That means APO or CIA has someone on the inside, other than Sloane! Jack??? He got Sydney away at the exact moment before Dean could spill the beans about Vaughn and what "plans they have in store" for her! Hmmmm

The Jack/Sydney at the end was adorable but Jack's explanation about Dean was lame. It sounded like the Jack from S2 when he was trying to "protect" Sydney but was really keeping her in the dark about Project: Christmas.

Jack seems suspicious to me now and of course Sloane does but I can't tell just yet if they're in cohoots. Maybe they are both in on Prohet 5 but don't know about the other or maybe they do know..... too soon to tell.

BTW, Weird that Renee is on the opening credits as a regular when we've seen Dean and Peyton more!

I gave it a 4.5. Great episode but with Jack being potentially bad, I couldn't give it a 5.

I looooooooved a lot this episode! One of the best of Alias in my opinion. The first five minutes, with Sydney speaking in Italian... it was sooooooooooooo funny!!!

So far Dixon has had all the best lines this season. "It's a filthy 'abit!"

Syd's alias at the track's was awesome too. "Don't jostle the package."

I loved this ep! It definately reminded me of what made the earlier season's so good.... and that's just Sydney dealing with her real life, along with being a spy, not her love-life in the CIA! Syd & Jack at the end definately emphasized that. They were preparing for Syd's responsibilities outside of the CIA.

... did anyone else hear the potential hidden hint about vaughn?

at the end when the crib doesn't fit through the door to the nursey, jack asks sydney to give him a screwdriver.
what did vaughn, in s2, say the best invention was?
a screwdriver.

OMG! Excellent point!!! now that you say that i'm really thinking about it, but - how would a screwdriver work in vaughn's current situation is the question.....hmmmm - so many possibilities...wow.... there's hope yet... = )

jack is a genuis, but he can't think to make sure a crib will fit through the door. it's rare that we get to see him as a regular guy - im glad they showed he can he human.

I totally agree! jack is so serious but he's got the funniest lines sometimes. He and Syd's relationship has developed so much, and it is great to see them together outside of work.

Sloane wants to be reformed, but circumstances are forcing him to be a double agent. They way that Jack explained to Sydney about Gordon Dean's reason for suicide, I suspect that Arvin has already confided in Jack about his newest trouble.

There's always a choice. I don't feel bad fro Sloane. The villians did something to Nadia to make her better. Why doesn't Sloane tell them, get more tests, more theories?? There's no excuse. Nadia wouldn't want him selling out the APO crew for her sake.

OMG! Excellent point!!! now that you say that i'm really thinking about it, but - how would a screwdriver work in vaughn's current situation is the question.....hmmmm - so many possibilities...wow.... there's hope yet... = )

I think that's reading into things quite a bit. I'm betting the writers don't even remember that Vaughn once said a screwdriver was the best invention. (I don't.) Fans often remeber the nit-picky details and trivia far better than the writers or the actors themselves.
