CHAPTER 3 I THINK: Pencil
When Syd woke up the next day, her first thought was: Hmm. I can’t wait to see Michael. Her second then was: Sydney Anne Bristow! Shame on you! You shouldn’t be thinking that! He has a girlfriend!
She then proceeded to get ready for the day continuing to think about “His Royal Hotness.”
---At school 5th period math---
Sydney walked in and sat down. Seconds later Michael Vaughn walked in and sat down. Much to Sydney’s delight he turned around to look at her.
“Can I borrow a pencil? I left mine at home.”
Aww, he’s blushing. “Yeah sure.” She fished one out of her pencil bag and handed it to him.
“Thanks.” He smiled and turned back around to face the rest of the people at his table.
Why didn’t he ask someone at his own table? I mean, two popular people, who are his friends sit with him. Why did he ask ME? Sydney continued to ponder this question the rest of the day. She also wondered if Francie could tell her what this meant. She could help me. No! I want this to remain private a little while longer. No you don’t. you want the whole world to know!! Guys please! We’ll settle this later.
---V’s POV---
She’s already here. I like her. Dude! No more thoughts! Shoot! I need a pencil! I guess I’ll have to ask her. Well, I don’t have to. I could ask Chloe or Kristin. But I don’t like them.

I’m going to kill her if she doesn’t shut up! I bet Sydney doesn’t do this! Stop thinking about her! You’re on a date with JENNIFER not SYDNEY! Although I wish it was her. Yes you can wish but not do. Sydney looked so hot today in those jeans! No she looked beautiful. She always does. I should dump Jennifer. It’s not fair to her. But I don’t even know if Syd likes me back! I should find out.
“Are you even listening to me?” He was broken out of his reverie by Jennifer’s voice. Shoot! What was she talking about?
“Of course I was.”
“Ok then.” And she started talking again. And it never stopped. Does it NEVER end!
Michael walked Jennifer up to her door. “I had fun tonight Michael.”
“Umm, me too.” She then tried to lean in for their customary kiss but Michael stopped her. “I have a cold sore.” He lied.
“Eww. Yuck! I won’t kiss you then. Night!”
“Yeah Night!” Phew that was close! But I can’t believe she bought that though. It’s like the oldest trick in the book! But I’m glad it worked. But I hate lying. Dad would have never done that! Would he have? I don’t know! Well you didn’t know him did you? Anyway, enough of that. How to find out if she likes me? I know I’ll ask her friend for her sn. Then I’ll ask her. Yeah! That’s it!
---Next day---
