Looks like Ridley Scott is going back to dark "alien" style scifi entertainment.

Might be good, might not be. The big question is why Ridley Scott is bothering returning to this after all this time instead of doing something new. Even more worrying is the talk of another Bladerunner movie.
Aargh! Stop remaking/ rebooting stuff!

Possible spoiler alert! Somebody had a lot of time on their hands (no, not me! :P) and went through the trailers frame by frame, compared it to what information has been made available so far, and came up with a plausible plot spoiler for Prometheus.

Knowing that Prometheus takes place in the Alien universe and in the timeline appears before the original Alien movie, this possible spoiler actually seems pretty plausible.

So if you are looking forward to seeing Prometheus, don't view the attached graphic! On the other hand, if you're really curious, check it out.

The trailer for this movies is amazing. I can't wait to see this movie and finally see how the space jockey came to crash land there in the first place. I love the Alien movies!

If you don't mind spoilers, check out the graphic I posted above; it explains the space jockey.

There's a new viral vid out that is quite refreshing:

Interesting to note that here the Laws of Robotics are not in force, as 'David' says he can carry out jobs that humans would find unethical.

I suppose it depends on what the developers have deemed to be ethical. Is killing in self-defense ethical? What about deception if it is for a greater good?

Well that's one creepy android....

Can't experience emotion.

Floods of fake tears run down its cheeks.

Narrator says it can carry out unethical actions.

Creepiness.

(and for those who watched Game of Thrones S02E01, there are some unethical things we thought only belonged in the bible)

The international trailer for Prometheus has been released and it is an extended cut. With this trailer we get see that Charlize Theron's character is the mission commander and that her agenda is not necessarily the same as what the crew thought the mission was. That mission started off apparently as the result of ancient civilizations all depicting the same star formation along with non-human visitors.

Apparently Windows 7 is anticipated to have a very long life span! :D

What that blue arrow is pointing to is that on the left monitor the bottom edge of the graphic is the Windows 7 desktop bar.

It is pretty common for movies to use graphic mock-ups of computer UI designs but in this case it looks like somebody may have forgotten to hide the bar.

This movie received mixed reviews here locally, which seems to be the case of every other movie released so far this year except The Avengers. I genuinely hope that this movie is connected to the Alien franchise, which is arguably the third most successful sci-fi movie franchise (right behind Star Wars and Star Trek). It seems like there is enough talk going around as to whether it is a prequel or not to the Alien movies. I want to like this movie, but often times when I get excited about a movie with a lot of hype surrounding it, it should serve as a red flag that I may be in for a let down. Probably won't be seeing it at the theater so I will be looking forward to the DVD release.
