You kinda scared me there for a sec about the visitation hours...but it's true, in some way Nadia is allowed to that, especially if she does have a full-time job (or steady).

Then again, Nadia not showing up when she was meant to see her daughter (on a certain day and time) that doesn't sound like Nadia! If she doesn't want to, then she wouldn't go... that was pretty obvious too. Wonder why I didn't think about that at first before almost going nuts here :P

:love: Syd and Vaughn finally got their little family! I also hope that Kate won't take the traits of her mother... :angelic: It would make Sydney so sad! :lol: but she sounds like a real teenager there :D

Aw everything worked out for them at the end, I'm glad. Sydney seems happy. And John seems to be a little cutie.
 
I don't believe that Nadia would just walk away like that.. Yeah, she didn't get custody of Kate and she didn't have a stable living environment. But I would have thought that later down the road, she would have at least wanted to see Kate... or talk to Sydney about how Kate is doing. I dunno.. Maybe I'm just in a weird mood since I just came out of my very discussion/arguement based International Relations class... *shrugs*


Great ending though. They seem like such a sweet family. :smiley: Can't wait for the new story tomorrow.

AWWWWwwww :love: So adorable! I loved it! I think a sequel would be pretty cool--like Nadia actually showed up and demanded visitation rights or kidnapped Kate as she went to Beth's house. Anyway, that's for writing, I really enjoyed this fic! Looking forward to the one-parters!

I'm so glad Nadia did the disappearing act. I guess, since she didn't get her own way, she decided seeing her daughter wasn't worth the effort.

I'm also one who believes that it's best to tell a child when he/she is adopted. It's best not to keep that kind of information a secret. It ends up causing problems.

Nadia obviously found the cheapest lawyer who would take her case.
I'll bet the judge had a feeling that Nadia would not show up for those scheduled visits.
So, when they convened 3 months later there was no action to be taken.

Loved the little twist that Will was also an ex-boyfriend.

I'm glad they chose to be up-front and honest about the adoption with Kate (leaving out the part about Nadia not wanting her was okay, it would have hurt her to know that). I went to school with a girl who didn't learn she was adopted until she was in high school. She was already a spoiled brat, and she got worse after that.

I hope Kate doesn't inherit any more of Nadia's traits.

I'm glad they had two more kids, also.

Even if I was scared about Nadia coming back in their lives, I have to admit that her not showing up isn't really a surprise for me, it's not like she really wanted to have Kate back
In the end, everything worked out for Sydney and Vaughn ^_^ , they have managed to build their own little family with no difference between their own children and Kate ^_^
