Glad that they got married and could live in America. Vaughn's mum still couldn't accept Sydney, huh? well... at least Michael stood by Sydney's side and wouldn't let her alone!!! :P He's smart enough...

aw yay the country united!! but i thought michael could have told her he was coming alone with marie and then brought sydney anyway... it might have changed his mom's mind...

He had great friends, one in particular. It gave him a place to live and a lawyer to help with citizenship.
Getting married right away in Vegas was a good idea.

Boo to Michael's mother. She was too close-minded for her own good. The country was reunited, but she still would not accept Sydney. She is going to die old and alone because of her attitude.

The library was destroyed in the rubble. That would have been a good memory for them if it was still standing.

I thought Sydney would have reservations about getting married in a chapel where ceremonies are held in an assembly line fashion. Or maybe later, make up for the quicky wedding by renewing their vows during a formal ceremony; finally having the wedding most women usually dream about. However, her one and only wedding was 5 to 10 minutes long (following a drunk couple), with Michael's friends anxiously waiting for the ceremony to end so they can get back to their gambling and drinking, and Michael, also in a big hurry so he can get her back to the room because he hasn't had sex in 6 months.

I just thought Michael would have things planned out better for when she finally got there. Rather than come up with a slam bam wedding and starting out their married life living in someone's pool house. A pool house (aka cabana) isn't meant to be lived in.

So their living conditions wouldn't be comfortable at all.

However, afterward, I do like that Michael and Sydney's mother have become close. Irina is so accepting while Michael's mother only wants a relationship under her own terms.
