40 YOV was funnier, but I didn't think that was all it was hyped up to be either, actually. I've decided, I dont' really like this guy's idea of a comedy. Again, 40 YOV had f**k in EVERY sentence that EVERY person in the ENTIRE movie spoke. Reminds me of a kid who thinks that since his/her parents aren't around saying a dirty word is funny. But, again, that's just my opinion.

I really wanted to see Mr. Brooks with Kevin Costner. I want to see how he 'does' a bad guy.

Well yeah, there was a lot of cursing in it. I didn't like 40YV. His comedy is just stupid. He co-wrote Anchorman and something else by Will Ferrell. Anchorman had me rolling. But then I go in expecting frat boy humor and low brow laughs. My boss hated KU also.

Re internet use - Oh yeah please, I was just downstairs in our records department and not a single sould was actually working, everybody was surfing the web and all kinds of crazy ssites to be sure.

I agree about Anchorman. Same with Napoleon Dynamite. Maybe I'm just old....

Hmmm... the funniest movie I've ever seen.... Nothing comes to mind right now.

Ok, dork alert. Anyone else going to see Transformers? I am SO psyched about that movie! It'll probably be a disappointment too! But my brother used to have a TON of those things! I LOVE it! And Shia LaBeouf is such a cutey for a 12 year old..... LOL! I feel like a perv since I think Louis Stevens is a cutey pie. (I watch too much Disney Channel).

^He's 21 so don't feel bad. Not my kind of movie at all so I'll pass.

Kris loved Napolean Dynamite but I thought it was stupid.

ETA: I'm with you Terri I don't know what movie makes me laugh all the time. Ok maybe Clueless.

^That I don't doubt. I just think WF is more funny when he's not the leading character like in Old School.

Oh that movie makes me laugh all the time.

ETA: Terri - How often do you check your hotmail account?

Holy felgercarb, Jules, just checked my email! Yeah, I'll have to check it more often.

I was out on Thurs and was out Weds & Fri morning last week. So, I was very busy when I was here. Sorry to miss the emails!

Glad I was never interested in seeing that movie... And now I'm REALLY not interested... I could never understand today's notion of what "funny" is. Granted, there are a few good movies.... But swearing isn't necessary to be funny. It worked for I Love Lucy, so why not for today's sitcoms? Bad language was unacceptable on tv back then... why is it now? Just because it's the 21st century, doesn't make it right. The same goes for make-out scenes. The actors are likely uncomfortable doing it, but after all, they have contracts to abide by. Not to mention they have to put food on the table.... However, it's the writers that are to blame for the profanity in the scripts. They "push the envelope" as far as possible without violating FCC rules, which brings up another question.... why don't they do something about it? I've heard the FCC is supposedly tightening the rules, but I've yet to see any evidence of that when I turn on the tv. I haven't watched a sitcom regularly since "Boy Meets World" went off the air, because what the networks call "funny" just isn't to me.

I saw clips of it this morning. I just rolled my eyes and sucked my teeth. He really does need to shut up! Oh yeah and the fake crying. Puh-leeze.

Let's not forget TR. I was so annoyed. LK asked him if he'd heard from anyone on the staff and he said, yes and then proceeded to "choke up".

He didn't name names, but if anybody in the cast did talk to him, I hope it's to tell him to shut up. Seriously.

Closer was funny last night. Did ya'll watch?
