Sci-Fi Quantum anything

I am very interested in learning more on quantum physics and energy. I would like to include it in the book I'm writing but the internet is giving me very complicated answers lol. If anybody knows anything, please teach me!!! As simply as possible please. (y) Thanks!!

First you should realize that "quantum" means very, very small.
1. Physics
a discrete quantity of energy proportional in magnitude to the frequency of the radiation it represents.
an analogous discrete amount of any other physical quantity, such as momentum or electric charge.
Physiology
the unit quantity of acetylcholine released at a neuromuscular junction by a single synaptic vesicle, contributing a discrete small voltage to the measured end-plate potential.
2. Legal
a required or allowed amount, especially an amount of money legally payable in damages.

Quantum mechanics (QM; also known as quantum physics, quantum theory, the wave mechanical model, or matrix mechanics), including quantum field theory, is a fundamental theory in physics which describes nature at the smallest scales of energy levels of atoms and subatomic particles.

a photon is a single quantum of light (or of any other form of electromagnetic radiation). Similarly, the energy of an electron bound within an atom is quantized and can exist only in certain discrete values.

Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment, sometimes described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935. It illustrates what he saw as the problem of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics applied to everyday objects.

Quantum entanglement (Spooky) is a physical phenomenon that occurs when pairs or groups of particles are generated, interact, or share spatial proximity in ways such that the quantum state of each particle cannot be described independently of the state of the others, even when the particles are separated by a large distance.

In quantum mechanics, "observation" is synonymous with quantum measurement and "observer" with a measurement apparatus and "observable" with what can be measured.

Quantum computing is the use of quantum-mechanical phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to perform computation.

Quantum Interaction is an emerging discipline in artificial intelligence combining mathematics, physics, cognitive and computer sciences. Quantum interaction uses insights, techniques, and models developed in quantum physics and applies them in new areas of informatics.

Quantum mechanics is the body of scientific laws that describe the wacky behavior of photons, electrons and the other particles that make up the universe.

Why is quantum physics important? The theory of relativity describes the behavior of large everyday objects in the world around us. ... At the level of atoms and sub-atomic particles objects behave very differently and quantum theory is an attempt to describe the behavior of matter and energy at this sub atomic scale.

Since 'quantum' anything is a broad term, the quantum 'whatever' in your story needs to have a focus.
You can search the web for examples of quantum in application
Being that it is the realm of the very small, any quantum 'effect' you wish to use will need to associate with the very small.
However, it is possible for a quantum related action to affect the larger scale objects.
Changing a quantum value could change all the atomic values related to an object.

Quantum manipulation of matter could be associated with advanced nanotechnology.
Also time travel and teleportation.

It will affect the matter of an object but not the subsequent matter interactions with other matter.
Entanglement principles could allow for long distance teleportation but a 'station' would be required at the destination.
Quantum teleportation has already been done.

There is no faster than light communication or motion in quantum mechanics. Teleportation does not feature any faster than light information transfer. ... There is a mathematical result called Bell's theorem saying that no local theory can reproduce the predictions of quantum mechanics using classical physics.

Over 32 days, they sent millions of photons and found positive results in 911 cases. “We report the first quantum teleportation of independent single-photon qubits from a ground observatory to a low Earth orbit satellite—through an up-link channel— with a distance up to 1400 km,” says the Chinese team.

Additionally, you might suggest an AI has quantum synapse.

Right now, the teleportation experiments are limited to the sending of information.
Its still an early science.
There is no reason to think it wouldn't lead to matter teleportation with more research time?

Without knowing the application in which you wish to include quantum in your story, any responses will be limited to general feedback.

The internet reflects only what is known about Quantum mechanics today. Not.

Example technologies that will only happen if Humans master the practical use of the Subatomic (I use most of these in my writings):
- teleportation,
- instant communication (quantum-linking e.g. the above),
- gravity generation and control,
- powerful batteries,
- atomic fabricators (i.e. make nearly anything you like),
- traveling faster than 7 million mph,
- the ability to hack into quantum cryptography,
- plus your own imagination.

Leave in some limitations as there's no such thing as an invincible creature. The only thing is do not attempt to explain it in a Sci-Fi book. Just use it sensibly. But be careful it could destroy you!

Schroediger--hero. And the cat. A duality in one state - or another- depending haha.

Quantum mechanics is not a tidy subject. Your best bets for concise layman information is Wikipedia and sometimes the public information webpages of research university physics departments at major schools like MIT, Standford, Caltech, etc.

There are several major stumbling blocks to real world quantum effects like instantaneous travel that are very similar to the problem of traveling faster than light or transmitting information through a black hole. Mathematics suggests possible avenues, but those paths usually involve a some element currently thought to be impossible, like "negative energy", to make the equation work.

Quantum computing opens doors to changing how we deal with information and physics problems that will likely unlock some new possibilities, rather than just make classic SF aspirations like FTL possible.

I invented the term ESP (Einstein’s Spooky Protocol) for my instants comes tech between alien minds (and Humans if altered). Thing is to invent your own in a way not to be challenged by purists.
