There is a rumor that one will be played on the Matrix movie I doubt it though simply because Matrix is WB, not New Line Cinema. The trailers are coming soon though!

The extended version is 100% guarenteed to contain more Merry Pippin Treebeard scenes, I believe drinking of the ent draught is part of this.

And yeah, last year they had it at the end of the fellowship in march

Well, part of the reason they did play a trailer was due to the success of the Oscars. This year they were denied so much I'm not surprised that they didn't add any more on, though I really wish they had! That's OK. When did they put that post up on ToRN? If it was two days ago or up to now that could be where I'm off on my info.

Well last year this time the trailer was showing. but on the other hand last year this time we already had a release date for the DVD extended version! argh! so mad! Nad plz post n e conformed date I'm dying here!

I think it was about 2 days ago that they posted it, but I'm not 100% sure. There have been a lot of rumors about the date that it will be released but I don't think there is an official date.

Matrix II ROTK Trailer? Not Happening

Insider sources tell TheOneRing.net that there will be NO ROTK trailer before screenings of The Matrix: Reloaded next month. There WILL be SOMETHING in regards to an ROTK trailer happening soon, but nothing is set in stone.

And we can all collectively moan 'awwwwww...'

I know! And I'm actually glad they didnt have a theater only trailer, because last year i went crazy when i saw it but the only version online wasnt very good so i couldnt watch it obsessively ^_^

hey...sorry if this was discussed earlier, but i'm a bit too lazy to go through all the pages.

does anyone know if they're doing the two towers dvd the same way they did the fellowship dvd? as in, are they going to release a regular version of the two towers dvd first and then release the extended version later?

Yes they are going to release an extended along with a theatrical cut version. The extended is set to have an extra 30 minutes added on like FOTR too. It will probably be released in November while there are rumors that the release date for TTT will be moved up into July.

I hope the rumors are true about TTT coming out in July!! If the theatrical cut version is moved up a month, I hope the extended version released date is moved up to October!! :lol: It is highly unlikely that that will ever happen, but it was just a thought. :idea:

The reason they release the extended version when they do is for the holiday shopping season. I don't think they'll change the release of the extended. Though, why not release the theater cut earlier? It doesn't really affect anything all that much.

That's true. But I'll be happy if they release the theatrical cut early but not the extended edition.

okay thanks. i was an idiot last year and didn't realize they would release both versions and was really pissed off when i found out. so now that i know this year, i'll just be extra patient and only buy the extended version.
