Ok for all of you awesome people who are anxiously waiting for news as to when the Two Towers will be released on DVD, these dates were posted at the TORn, website on April 20, 2003:

From Ringer Sylvan:

Greetings!

I work in a small independent rental video retailer, and was quite pleased upon arriving at work today to find we had received an official release date for The Two Towers! This came in the form of a CD-ROM "Digital Announce Kit" which contains everything from upcoming TV & radio promos, ad slicks and product images (including packaging art and DVD menu images), to computer wallpaper and icons, as well as two "countdown" screensavers. It also had a hi-res poster scan, very clever interactive menus "hosted" by Gollum featuring a 3 minute retailer trailer outlining the upcoming Merchandising Campaign, and most importantly, all of the pre-order and release date information. Release date for the Theatrical Edition will be August 26th, and the Extended Edition will be November 18th. I have uploaded a few of the images for your perusal. Enjoy!

From Tookish: We're updating our scrapbook at the moment and will post the accompanying pictures to this report soon!

**the screen caps aren't absolutely amazing, there is one of Gollum, Saruman, and Eowyn.

***I won't be held responsible for false information, so don't blame me if the dates change please! Blame Ringer Sylvan, only TORn's information is usually very accurate, I'll keep checking up with the info. board though because if info is false they post a correction.

***I'm still looking into the out of US dates, they are all changing daily thanks to many rumors so if I find anything I will post it right away.

AUGUST 26TH!!! HOW ARE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO WAIT THAT LONG! wHAT HAPPENED TO "A POSSIBLE EARLY RELEASE"!?! I am so glad I have a friend to already has a copy or I owuld die from LOTR withdrawl!

For fellow piano players, you would be happy, even thrilled as I am to know that TTT songbook has been released:

Ioreth writes: For the musically interested, the songbook for The Two Towers seems to have appeared now! The first one was really great with great pictures too!

I can't wait to get my book FOTR was excellent.

If you want to get a sample sheet of each of the songs for FREE:

Go to www.musicnotes.com and type in The Two Towers before clicking go be sure to check the digital sheet music bubble below the search box. You can print off a sample page after downloading a program that allows your computer to view/print music. The songs they have available in Digital Sheet Music form:

You can also buy digital sheet music and print it off at home, I've never done it but you can!

Thanks!!! It said on there that you can preorder starting on May 9th!! On the 2nd disk there's a 10 minute preview of ROTK (yay!!), a preview of the TTT extended edition, Sean Astin's short film, Gollum's Song music video, and a bunch of other cool stuff!!! :D :woot: Can't wait!!!!!!!

You are not seeing things, you did post it but the server was hacked into and therefore shut down, only a few hours of posts were lost but enough that your wonderful information was erased. I put it back on so everyone could see it. Sorry if you got confused or wanted to share the info. yourself!

What is up with that release date?

lol i remembered that after i posted...

It's so late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well at least its before alias, by the time i get sick of watching it 5 times a day alias will have just come out!

Is it even possible to get sick of watching it five times a day? I think that it will be the only thing to keep me from watching it.

Me too!! I don't ever get tired of watching LoTR but it's nice when you see it the first maybe 10 times and you start to learn the lines of the movie word for word! :D

oh yeah i know them well... has anyone else noticed that in the movies they come up with a screen that says "please leave the lines to the actors"

That is funny! I tend to memorize the lines perfectly by the third time, most by the second. Since a lot of the lines are directly from the books, or very similar to the books I already known most of them after the multiple times of reading them. Why do you think they pushed the date back?
