ok yeah im so lost... anyway i guess ill leave here for a while and let you guys figure this out and write your little book
it doesn't seem to be very little anymore.

but you don't wanna help? please???

okay, I'll let you tackle the elvish lessons, alasse. as much as I'd like to learn it's just too much at the moment. ^_^ but I'm currently reading a biography on Tolkien, and if you would like me to write or find something on the origins of his language then I'd be happy too!

I've actually started to take this very seriously! :D so I'm reading the aforementioned biography, which is actually very good (it's "J. R. R. Tolkein: A Biography" by Humphrey Carpenter, it you wanted to know. ), and I've ordered several of those "The Making Of" books from the library so we can get those conceptual designs. ^_^'

I have a scanner but no LOTR sheet music. -_-

Lol, funny cause i have sheet music for Gollums Song, but no scanner. The Elvish lessons are not exactly Tolkien elvish, cause i don't know Quenya or Sindarin. Where is everyone? They need to be here for the book part deployment. Uh if that makes sense.

OI, thanks. I'll compile Elvish from there then, it'll be more to the book then. So we've got Elvish, Nad's gonna do the quotes, Kate are you going to do backround/bio on Tolkien? And Siri, please come back, we'll need help!

yeah, I think I can do the author stuff. (half of my info will be from that book I'm reading! :lol:smiley:

one thing I think is cool is that while he was teaching at Oxford before the war, his fiancee lived in Warwick, and he visited her and they walked around. and my cousin lives in warwick!

Oh, that's kool! What language should I do though? Theres Quenya and Sindarin, but also Black Speech and others. Theres also the translation of poems and songs, A Elbereth Gilthoniel. Too many choices. Lol.

wow, that IS a lot! I've never really looked around, I tried to read the introduction once but it gave me a headache.

start with one of the elvish ones first, and then we can do The Black Speech and the others later (I'm now visualising the title: "The Languages Of Middle-Earth" :lol:smiley:

Good point! Man this is a lot to cover! I have both a scanner and all the music that is out for Lord of the Rings, so we are definately set there. I can work on some cast bios. I the two "making of" books by Brian Sibley, so I'll use that for info. anything else for now?

Sindarian would be the best for now Alasse, it is used more in the movies.

Very nice quotes! I love them. How about I set up something in Fanfic so we are so :eek:ff topic: here? Then when we are done compiling we can make a new thread with our finished product? That would open All LOTR for more conversation and discussion? What should I call the thread?

I think either would be fine. If someone wants to take the task of getting them and editing overall then posting for others to comment on I think that would be great, but for now on, let's talk about the book in the Construction Zone so this thread will open up again! I will be in General Fan Fic!
