UK Met office to "go over" climate change data again, finishing 2012!

This date is now firmly in my head and starting to get slightly annoying! First the Ministry of Defence drops looking into UFO's. The Hadron Collider is getting close to starting some big experiments close to the date. Now the Met office is going to go over climate change data from the last 160 years, to finish in 2012!

The Times & The Sunday Times

These guys need to be selecting better dates. Ones that don't freak people out and give ammo to the conspiracy theorists! I reckon you could scour the net for stories on delicate scientific experiments, geothermal drilling, asteroid searches, tsunami warnings and come up with a document long and complex enough to cause most below average intelligence persons out on the planet!

A change or an awakening may be in store for the famous time of change. I would not fear the date but welcome it for the good that could follow. True it will be a world changing event but perhaps not as some may think. The awakening of mankind will be a good thing. The change over to that awakening could be some what world shattering in terms of big changes as well as governmental forms of rule. The Mayans viewed it as a time of repetitive change too many fear what they do not comprehend. The unknown or uncertainty generates fear where hope should be.

Our governments..........they are the ones who are afraid.

There was a story the other day about water consumption. We outsource manufacturing to the third world and they are saying that the water usage needed for such in those locations is causing issues for the people living there. We live on a globe where harming areas will undoubtably affect all areas. Just because we go outside and cannot see it does not mean it will not come back to haunt us.

I spoke to a Polish exchange student today and we were talking about what her home city is known for exporting to the world and she said 'coal'. This is dismaying. We need to raise our technological level and find alternative methods of driving our power stations. What happens when the coal runs out there and we have no new technology? Their community will suffer greatly. They will be forced into poverty or emigrate to other areas, causing problems there through over population. A transit workforce/community loses so much of its qualities.

2012: Reality or Paranoia

Alvin, this underground storage structure could have been created out of paranoia. Or perhaps they know all about an impending threat of..................(fill in whatever you like).

Tim, I feel horrible about the exchange student's predicament as well as many other nations that are now suffering, but unfortunately our entire world is grinding to a halt. We're all feeling the impact of governments and big business corporations abandoning us to fend for ourselves, because they really don't care about people. That is the sobering reality of it all.

That could be the reason for governments and politics worldwide abandoning the decency of properly doing the business they were elected to do. We all go through stages of paranoia even when knowing what can be the causes.

The unknowns of any given state of being still leaves many questions. I do know this is close to the age predicted many thousands of years ago for a major change in governmental rule worldwide as well as more than two-thirds of the worlds population being destroyed. That is the worst part of the two sided prophecy.

The other side show a change of tremendous good worldwide with a non-linear or all time line in place of the progressive linear time line forward into a single time line. All that ever lived live again due to the all time line or non linear time line. All that was taken is given back when we understand the truth completely. A God like society is possible in the all time lines leading into one time line of past present and future blended where all times live together forever. In this new world mankind knows of his true Creation through evolution with time as the sculptor that molded us into what we become.

What actually happens whether in 2012 or at some other point in time is as it was prophesied to be. Foreknowledge of written documents from religious scholars down through the ages as well as word of mouth revelations all tell of this event yet to come. The when, what, and how is the real question for no one really knows the exact day, time or hour. One can only guess and hope to be close in accordance to the inspired Spirit of the many adding a voice as one.

Another possibility leads back into the dark ages and mankind starts all over again to regain lost knowledge from the civilization that was. I believe we are at the point of finally moving forward but how mankind digresses in the here and now may also affect which path mankind will take for... the test from my view has already begun. Direct contact only happens if we pass the test and this will decide which path mankind will take.

If the industrial nations push to get education, health and welfare policies in place throughout the world we will gain scientists, thinkers and leaders that may just produce different alternative ways of doing things. We may be able to help control population growth, lessen wars, slow down destruction of the globe. This will give us additional breathing space to make change.

I've been reading some arguments recently surrounding some dangerous journal articles submitted to the only hypotheses journal that is not peer reviewed, Medical Hypotheses. There was the thread of an argument running through the conversations surrounding the problems there that new and radical technology and ways of doing things may never see the light of day as when someone suggests it, the people who peer review may call them dangerous idiots, much like when a certain person claimed the world was not flat, and that the Earth swung round the Sun, and not the other way round!

I have become interested in a subject that is off my BA degrees curriculum, where a journal was created about 5 years ago and 3 years ago one of the guys involved has finally argued against the grain. The way they've had to build up their case with data that fitted the current way of thinking and add to it was a slow process. Go too radical and your peers will attack you, even ruin your career.

For scifi, we see this in Steampunk, alternate world history (Turtledove is heavily into this) and other branchings. What If? Well academics, scientists and governments don't like What If's. They like proven, tried and tested formula, building onto existing processes.

So they panic and dig a big hole in the ice and store seeds, etc. They try to improve carbon footprints (but only in the countries where industry is no longer located?) And all the while, the countries we outsourced our manufacturing to are noticing their isn't enough water to go round as manufacturing is using too much of it...................

A Sri Lankan student in my uni told me how on his Bsc back home he took a local fruit and created a process to turn it into a safe juice drink. After his business MA here he will qualify to work in our country for 2 years and can get extensions if his employer writes to our government. He was asking for help to get in with the food industries around where I live to get data for his MA dissertation. With local knowledge, I turned my laptop on, googled the main government food science department, opened googlemaps and showed him the route to the main science centre down the road, the main one for this country! "This is who you have to approach!" I said to him. Education, experimentation and change isn't necessarily a change brought on by the superpowers. This guy is one mere chess piece in the change we have to see in the world. But if he is restricted by those above for whatever reason, will we ever see the changes we need?

Since the beginning of the 1980's, I saw the clear big picture about the world controllers (governments & big business) and the workforce slaves (common people). I highly doubt these "controllers" will want to ever step down from their thrones and high positions to change things for the better (when all along the could) because they love POWER & CONTROL. Now as we all head toward the unknown future of humankind, these "controllers" want to hide in bunkers with everything they can get their greedy hands on and seal themselves off from the common people of the world in order to save themselves.

But I think no one will be prepared when the time comes, because it can all be over within an eye-blink.

This is clearly a step in the right direction if those who lead would allow it. It is only logical that if we have better educated peoples of the world with more thinkers, scientist and leaders. All in all we as a whole could do a lot more to improve our world and find new and better ways to live in a easy civilized way without polluting or destroying our environment with industry. The thinkers could help create new industries that are safe for all life while advancing mankind into a new area of advancement and into a new era for mankind. This would allow mankind the time needed to advance in the ways that are safe for all life.

The controllers would not have to step down. All they would have to do is allow and promote education and an educated peoples who would find the path to change that will improve all things and ways of life. There is still hope for a better world even with the greedy controllers in charge. The chance is in getting them to believe that a better education will help everyone even them in their greed. They would also need to be shown how new ways will improve all ways of life while creating a safe green energy industry that is safe for mother nature and adds to life rather than destroys it. We have a long way to go and hopefully we will still have the time to advance in the ways intended to live with nature and still have all of the conveniences of our style of living and even surpassing what we have once we get on to the right path of protecting life.

It takes an educated world relearning how to live in a new world with new ways. True, the twinkling of an eye is fast when the time comes, but likewise mankinds chance is in education that brings advanced way of thought into science and technologies. Perhaps this is the time for change and if we start changing we may be permitted more time to advance in the ways intended. Nothing is set in stone except for the sequence of events to come... but only if..... we do not change our ways. Clearly change into the ways that are safe for the planet and all life is the only step in the right direction that may also give mankind the time to do what should have been from the beginning.

A time for heros, the world needs to change

Alvin, I admire your optimism. I too have great hopes that things will improve, but unfortunately I really haven't seen anything postive that is turning us toward a brighter future. For example, billions of dollars have been spent on space programs since the 1950's and I have yet to see anything that benefits us humans immensely, the only thing that has improved out of it is high-tech weaponry. The original idea to reach space in the first place was to build missle platforms on the moon, and later war satelites for defense (as far as we know). Then Ronald Reagan hints that Earth is being threatened by enemies from outer space on a few occasions, because he was lightly briefed about the situation.

I wonder sometimes, what have they been really up to inside of those space stations while UFOs occasionly fly around them.
