Many years ago I worked at a small life insurance company and had frequent contact with the actuarials. Talking with those guys was sometimes a bid morbid because they had a habit of playing a little game to amuse themselves where they would ask somebody, usually the newest hire or some of the mail room kids, some questions and then give the person their estimated lifespan & year of death. Needless to say it spooked some people out a bit, especially when the estimated year of death was really a bogus number the actuarial came up with just to play with the other person's mind. Sometimes they would give real estimates and other times the would give fake ones.

If their victim was some kid from the mail room who was gullible, then it'd be a fake year. Listen to loud music? Drive some POS car? Wear baggy clothes? And you're 19 now? Yeah, look, we had to break this to you but you don't have to worry about getting old.

They enjoyed doing this for a number of years until the daughter of the owner of the company started working in the mail room during the summers when she started High School. Telling the owner's teenage daughter that she only had a few years to live quickly led to the end of the game being played.

Ah, good times. Good times. :D
