It's official. Alias has been renewed for a third season!




IN AN UNPRECEDENTED MOVE THAT DEMONSTRATES A STRONG
SHOW OF CONFIDENCE IN ITS NEW SCRIPTED PROGRAMMING,
ABC ANNOUNCES EARLY 2003-2004 SEASON ORDERS FOR SEVEN SERIES:
"8 SIMPLE RULES FOR DATING MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER," "ACCORDING TO JIM,"
"ALIAS," "GEORGE LOPEZ," "LESS THAN PERFECT," "LIFE WITH BONNIE"
AND "MY WIFE AND KIDS"

With significant sampling on its post-Super Bowl telecast, "Alias" hit its highest ratings ever in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. Since then "Alias" has maintained its momentum, outpacing its average prior to the Super Bowl by 12% in Total Viewers (10.1 million vs. 9.0 million) and by 18% in Adults 18-49 (4.7/10 vs. 4.0/9). Versus the same point last season, "Alias" is up by 3% in its core demographic of Adults 18-34 (3.8/10 vs. 3.7/9) and by 9% among Teens 12-17 (2.4/7 vs. 2.2/7).

"Alias" stars Jennifer Garner, Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, Michael Vartan, Lena Olin, Bradley Cooper, Merrin Dungey, Carl Lumbly, Kevin Weisman and David Anders. The series, from Touchstone Television, was created by J.J. Abrams, who executive-produces along with John Eisendrath and Ken Olin.

COMING AROUND AGAIN: ABC gives pick-up orders for scripted series: 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, According to Jim, Alias, George Lopez, Less Than Perfect, Life With Bonnie and My Wife and Kids. Not to worry, The Bachelor is also returning.

I'm so glad ABC has faith in Alias. I guess I'll write a thank you letter instead of please renew Alias letter.

Writing thank you letters is a great show of support and makes ABC feel better about its choice :smiley:
 
okay honestly jumping up and down giggling with joy!!!!!!!finally abc execs. get a clue, and now, we all have a new season to look forward to!!!!!! lets throw a party!!lol
 
I found out (TV Guide) at 3:30 and I couldn't tell anyone!!! Then I get home and am able to shoot an email to Charlie and then my stupid Internet connection goes down!!! But I'm still happy--as in ecstatic and overjoyed!

I can't stop smiling, I must be grinning like an idiot. This is the greatest news all day, all week! (this week hasn't been that great) And I am with Vicki on the party idea ;) I am overjoyed, in seventh heaven, on cloud-nine (I am guessing you get the picture) Yipeeee :jump:

this is awesome news....not that i was expecting a cancellation but it was still a surprise to renew the show this early means it is really better that all thought it was..and that what we all here have been saying for the longest time....

THIS IS SOOOOOOOO WONDERFUL!!!! :D This made my day sooooooo much better. And it was looking pretty bad there for a while ^_^
 
Thank you dear god. :D :D :D I always hate that when your favorite shows get cancelled and you have nothing to look forward to when you have to go back to school. Now I've got my Alias to make Sundays better again. :D
