Every week the official website of the Sci-Fi Channel, Sci-Fi.com, honours a unique, interesting, or pioneering site in the realm of science-fiction, horror or fantasy by bestowing the title of 'Site of the Week'. I've been following the feature for quite a few years, as their weekly picks never disappoint, and tuning in this week, much to my surprise, the featured site of the week is... us! Check it out:
"Everything Alien and Predator" is what fans are promised at The Alien Experience, a Web site devoted to the melding of the cinema's two most deadly SF creations. With coverage of the upcoming DVD release of Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, game reviews, notes on auctions of AvP tie-in merchandise and a host of downloads, this site delivers the straight goods to visitors, helping them keep tabs on this fast-moving, high-adrenaline franchise.

The Alien Experience site is jammed with intriguing content: a gallery containing movie stills and AvP fan films; a Scripts section that contains, among other things, a draft of an Aliens 3 screenplay penned by SF author William Gibson; and a discussion forum whose thousands of posts examine the technology, writing and biology of both alien species, as well as more general topics—literature, filmmaking and gaming, to name three.
I'm truly honoured and humbled that a megasite like Sci-Fi.com took the time to acknowledge us. A big thanks to A.M. Dellamonica at the Sci-Fi Weekly for the shout out.
