Thanks! There are 9 people in my class, which is 103. The second year classes are even smaller, I've heard. And I'm one of 2 females in the class... the other female is an older korean woman (who is the quietest woman ever).

ok, people, i need help. i have been searching online and stuff for half-asian actresses, and i CANNOT find one, so now i am annoyed and i MUST find one. so does anyone know of any part-asian actors or actresses?

I'm Taiwanese. Ethically Chinese but whatever! I can speak a lil Taiwanese and lot's of Chinese. But my Chinese was better when I was a little girl.

my mom is Philipino. The weather in the philippines is very very very very humid. Almost unbearable from the time you get off the plane. ^_^

well, someone asked me what actress i look the most like, (and there used to be a thread here called that), and i can never answer because there are no half asian actresses!! so i decided to find one okay, yeah, so im weird

she is? yay! that has been bugging me. I kenw her last name was dutch but everytime I watch smallville I said she looked asian.

Gosh... when someone asks me which famous person I look like, I can never think of one. Someone described me once as a shorter, Japanese version of Katie Holmes. But really, I don't look a whole lot Japanese. I think it's the whole being born in Hawaii thing.

yeah, i hate that - when people ask what famous person you look like. makes you realize there are NO asian actors/actresses around. well, there are, but they're definitely in the minority. i can only think of a few off the top of my head. and they're usually chinese or japanese or korean. never any vietnamese people. but what does it matter, all asians look alike, right?

We talked about this in my sex, gender, and power class... the lack of asian mainstream actors. And the asian actors are portrayed as asexual, and the asian actresses are portrayed generally as meek and obedient. I mean, there's Jackie Chan, Pat Morita (Mr. Miyagi from Karate Kid, and he's a comedian too), Ming-Na (from ER), Lucy Lieu, and a few others, but they really aren't all that popular. There is an Asian american movie coming out, that I saw a commercial for on MTV... it's called Better Luck Tomorrow or something like that.
