Sorry it's short, i have been sick...

Vaughn's second course arrived. Alice said she shouldn't ruin both of their nights and insisted they stay. Vaughn complied. Their is no sense in dwelling on something that cannot be handle right now. Vauhgn's mind still wandered though. Everywhere he looked he thought he saw Sydney. She was everywhere including his mind. Vaughn began thinking how he would explain things to Sydney. He wouldn't ever get the chance to tell her at dinner again, not for a long time, or at least until all the cells were destroyed. His mind lingered on the future. She was in it with him. They were married and happily living together, Vaughn moved in to kiss her but suddenly the girl of his dreams, Sydney, turned into the girl of his nightmares, Alice. He hastily pulled backwards. The thought of kissing him made him cringe. Vaughn sipped more wine from his cup. The night was growing late and he more tired. He just wanted to go home and forget the night.

"All ready?" he said cheerfully.
"Yep, i'm ready." she said matching his same enthusiasm. The got into the car and began driving home. There really wasn't anything said the entire drive home. Silence. Vaughn pulled into his driveway, it was around 11:45, 2 hours after he broke Sydney Bristow's heart. *Snap out of it!* he thought. *I'm entitled to have a girlfriend, it's my life. And she can have a boyfriend too. That was harder to think about than he thought. Vaughn opened the front door and grabbed the champange bottle from Alice, she was clearly drunk. Alice stumbled backwards and almost fell. Vaughn scooped her up and carried her into the bedroom. He put her down on the bed and began walkin towards the doorway.

"Wait," she said beckoning back. 'I'll give you what you want!" she said slyly.

"Umm...i have a headache," he said quickly. his concious would not allow him to crawl in bed with his...the words still etched in his mind, Fiancee.

"That's all i ever hear from you.."she said through a sob. "Ever since you got this new promotion at work you're never in the mood." she began crying.

*she was right* he thought. I can't punish her for my stupid mistakes. Vaughn eventually gave in to a seducing Alice.

Syd's night: Car
"He's just stupid okay?" Will said soothingly.

"I just, I just lost my temper, that's all. I know i should have but...seeing him there with his girlfriend..."
"You mean fiancee`?"Will said.
Sydney began crying frantically.
"Oh sorry, Syd anyone who can't see how great you are doesn't deserve you." Will said this with true sincerity.
"Thanks," she said forcing a smile.
"Will you know, back there, about what i said...Us being a couple i was just..."
"No prob," Will said. *in his mind he replayed the kiss over and over* Will dropped Syd off at her place and said he was going to get some of his work and pick up some ice cream. (its alike 10:00)
Sydney walked into her house flustered. She hated him right now but still felt bad about the evening. She would probably never eat with him again or even be that close to him again. It took them weeks to finally set a date, when everyone was free, Sloane out of town, and Weiss monitoring security. Sydney shook her mind clear off the thoughts. She walked to her bedroom and sprawled onto the bed. Fun night she thought. She still couldn't get the look off her face when she poured spagethi all over his pants. "I bet Alice will have a nice time washing those!" she said aloud laughing. Sydney stared down blankly. The thought of Alice made her angry. There were only a couple people she disliked in the world, and she now knew one of them was Alice....

I'll post more later promise

I don’t know why, but it wouldn’t let me get on the site…anyway here is the next chapter, I’ve made it longer!

It had been a horrid night for Michael Vaughn, probably one of the worst ever. First, Sydney found out that Alice was his fiancée, his favorite pants were ruined, and Alice took off his pants when he got home! Vaughn woke up about 5:45 with Alice lying next to him. For a short moment he thought it was Sydney next to him, his eyes lit up until the memory of the previous evening came back to mind. Alice’s blond hair came into view from under the covers. Vaughn’s spine tingled with chills. He hopped out of the bed and rushed to the bathroom to shower. He let the hot, steamy, pressurized water take its affect on him. He scrubbed himself vigorously to get himself clean. He always felt dirty with Alice, especially after a night like that. Vaughn stood in the shower imagining what the night would have been like if Alice had not been there. Then he bleakly remembered Will. The thought of the kissed screeched into his mind. It was too painful to think about. He thought about what she had called Will, her boyfriend. The thought hurt worse than he imagined, if he hated hearing Sydney calling Will her boyfriend, how must Sydney feel having Alice call them engaged? Vaughn’s shoulders sunk. Last night he was in denial. He knew it was his fault for everything. He felt really guilty about last night. He was leading Sydney and Alice on at the same time. How could he choose? It was an easy decision he thought, but I can’t be with Sydney…

* * *

Sydney had just finished her morning run. She sat at a bench holding a flower. She pulled a petal,
“Call him,” she pulled another, “Don’t call him,” (repeat) -ring ring- Sydney’s cell rang, *Dang it * she thought, retrieving it from her purse. “Hello,’ she said forcing a polite tone.
“Joey’s Pizza.”
“Umm…I’m sorry you have the wrong number.” Sydney hung up. What was up now? She didn’t even have a mission with SD6, Sloane gave her the week off. She reluctantly got up and went home. Sydney really wanted to piss Vaughn off now. Just to make him feel bad. Half of her said it was wrong but the other half wanted to take pleasure in seeing him suffer. She fumbled through her closet until she found something worth wearing. It was a short, spaghetti strapped shirt, low cut. (yes, spaghetti…lol) She pulled out some jeans too. Sydney hadn’t worn these for a long time. She didn’t even know they would still fit. She pulled them over her legs and fastened them. She applied her make up carefully, not wanting to miss a spot. When she was finally finished she gazed into the mirror. She laughed aloud. Her jeans were skin tight and her shirt was quite revealing, she didn’t care though, she wanted to make him jealous. She got into the car and on the way thought of what she was going to say. She debated whether to put a jacket on or not, she still felt really guilty. She knew it wasn’t his fault but she was angry as hell. She decided just to tease with him a little. She pulled into the wharehouse pondering on what he would say. She walked in to see him sitting on a crate. God, he looks good she thought. He looked tired too, as she inched closer she could see the bags under his eyes.
“Hello,” she said calmly. Vaughn turned around startled by her presence. His eyes scanned her quickly, she looked better than she did last night. There was an awkward pause and a silence.
“Hi,” he said. Sydney fought to hold back tears.
“What do you want?”

The question was easy for Vaughn, yet so complicated. What did he want, why did he call her here. Vaughn knew what he wanted, it was all he wanted for a long time, her. (sydney)

Sydney stared at him hard, trying to penetrate his mind. Vaughn's eye glazed over. In his head he was reliving all of his memories with Sydney, from the time she walked into CIA with her ridiculous red wig, to the time they held hands on the pier. One memory was burned into his mind, the time Sydney told him....

"Vaughn...What do you want?" she said more demandinly. She felt bad for doing it, but she loved it at the same time. She had learned to store her emotions and get them out of her way, but this was so much different and harder. For the first time, she was jealous. She didn't mind being callous and uncaring it some how made her feel that much better.

"I just want to tell you that...." he trailed off. *Cmon Vaughn where are those BALLS OF STEEL now!? Tell her! His mind beckoned him forward but his head said otherwise. Sydney was getting impatient, she shifted her foot and began sighing. She couldn't do it anymore, she felt too bad for doing what she had done last night.

"Look Syd..." Vaughn tried again but was cut off this time.
"You don't have to.." her eyes were filled with sadness, "I understand you love her, that's okay with me, I'm ... I'm sorry." Her eyes flinched, why had she told him she was sorry, because she wasn't.

*She thinks i love Alice?* He couldn't believe his ears....Alice? Sure he liked her... but only to a certain extent. Why did she think this?* Vaughn could not comprehend this...she thinks i love her...?!*

There was an awkward pause,
"Syd i do not..." Vaughn's phone rang he pulled it out of his pocket quickly, he was cautious to answer, Sydney could tell because his eyes changed. They always changed, they were different for every individual. For her father they were stoned and fierce, and filled with respect. For Weiss they were filled with laughter and livliness. She wished she knew what his eyes meant when she looked at her. They were filled with happiness and agony at the same time. When they hugged she could sense them changing, for better or worse she didn't know. His eyes drove her crazy though. They were so special and unique, when she looked into him she saw his soul and hers as well. She lost all of her problems.
"Hello" he said eyes changing.
Sydney didn't need him to tell her who it was on the phone, she already knew. His eyes had changed. She had seen this before with him.

{Flashback} Whareshouse:

Sydney was engulfed in laughter. Vaughn had told her a childhood story. She was laughing so hard she was crying.

"Here, let me get you a tissue." he said still chuckling. He wiped her eyes and caressed her cheeks soothingly. Their was a silence, not awkward, it was filled with intensity. * this is it, she thought* I have to tell him! She looked into his eyes she saw her soul hungry for his. She quickly pulled away but took his hands in hers.
"Is there something wrong?" he asked. It was amazing he always knew with her.Sydney took a deep breath,
"Vaughn i need you to know something..." she grasped for the words, their hands still intwined.
"I really, really like you, alot." Sydney felt an electrity shock go through her body. She couldn't believe she had finally said it. She didn't dare to look up. Slowly Vaughn's hand reached for her chin and pulled it up. He moved in for the kiss, Sydney wanted it.
-Ring Ring Ring- His phone rang disrupting them.
"Hello," Sydney saw it, his eyes change. The conversation dragged on. She didn't know who it was until the end. Vaughn stood there, afraid to reply.
"Love you too, Alice."

Present:

His eyes had changed the same way as before, she knew it was Alice. Sydney thought about how stupid she must be. The anger returning to her again. She apologized to him!?!? She couldn't believe herself. *Damn she thought, he played me and here i am. I told him i cared for him then he told Alice he loved her. But he did try to kiss me.... So did he have feelings for me? Sydney didn't understand. He acted like he liked her but was engaged to aLice, told her he loved her infront of her, but tried to kiss her. Either way he was lieing to someone, either her or Alice and either way she didn't like it. They were never supposed to lie. Sydney was angry. Vaughn must have sensed Sydney's sudden mood swing.
"Honey, I got to go..I'll call you later...you too." his yes flinched. Sydney knew what you too meant and it hurt her badly. Vaughn shoved the phone into his pocket, his eyes filled with pain and guilt. He couldn't find the words to explain because she looked so hurt, so heart-broken. So he did what he had wanted to do for so long, he kissed her.

"Get off of me!" she shouted., pushing him off. Half of her wanted it so bad, the other half felt betryaed. "Don't you dare touch me! You're engaged....you're engaged!" Sydney felt the tears coming. Engaged she thought.
"But....Syd you know that i love you." he was now close to tears himself. He moved in once more.
She pushed him away and slid to the floor. "Vaughn don't make this hard for me, please!" she was crying now, she loved him so much but she knew she couldn't have him.
"But i love you..." he said this time a tear trickling down his cheek.
"You do?" she said standing up. "Then how come you always tell the wrong women?" with that she walked out wiping the tears from her puffy eyes. He knew now why she thought he loved Alice, he told her in front of her. Vaughn cursed himself

Have more later. Too hard to get...sorry it was late when i wrote this brain wasn't functioning
