Just wondering if any of you are capable of writting in calligraphy. If so just post here for fun..or you can help me out in my lil dilemma.

I'm not 1/2 bad at calligraphy after spending countless of hours doing it. However i have been using a cartridge fountain pen. I felt that i should advance, and I got myself a nice, real callighraphy pen, and a bottle of black calligraphy ink. exactly how to you dip your pen in? my attempts have been most unsucessful, as the ink bearly makes my name twice, thats only 10 letters long. I have a bunch of different nibs n such. but 1/2 of what it says it written in french, its like they don't want americans knowing what to do! according to the pamplet it says it should atleast make 1/4 of a page.

i can calligraph in hebrew and in english- for now u should stick with a normal cartrdge one ora crow quill (where u pore the ink in the pen)

what i think ur supposed to do (i should ask my dad he knows he callligraphed his and my aunts and uncles "ketubah"-a jewish marriage contract) is dip it in and shake off as much as possible

I've done Calligraphy, but I never really expanded on it. But I agree with Go Syd you should begin using the cartridge and then when you start getting better at it try the bottle, but I never used the bottle.

i have but it is more complicated and more prone to screwing up so i think u should stick with a cartridge or crow quill pen for now

i know a bunch of people who do calligraphy. i have carefully dubbed them(in my mind) "the clan" because they are very weird and their head clanswoman bursts out crying for absolutely no reason randomly and makes big scenes... very odd.
