okay, i can honestly say that the once polygamy entered the picture, no one took the thread seriously anymore. actually, i don't think the thread was ever really meant seriously. i mean, c'mon, was anyone ever going to
really hook up with their allalias girlfriend/boyfriend? of course not. it was all just fun and games.
and even though you can go ahead and read all the pages (although i doubt anyone would), it's still just one of those "you had to be there" moments. now i can see where things got misconstrued. but i still don't believe anyone involved took it seriously. i mean, look at how many times we just busted up laughing. and i consider myself an ardent feminist so if anyone should be offended by the "polygamy," i should be. but i'm not because i know we were all just joking around.
i'm not saying any of this to attack the admins' decisions. i usually agree with their decisions and it is ENTIRELY their prerogative to do whatever they want with certain threads. i'm just saying that none of this was really meant seriously. personally, i just took it as one big joke. but i can definitely understand their misgivings with the thread and i can see their point of view in the explanation they provided. and if they think things are getting out of hand, i won't complain if they shut the thread down again since we've had plenty of warning. although i doubt that would happen since everything's sort of died down anyway.
anyway, thank you again admins for deciding to keep this thread despite certain harsh protests. keep up the good work guys.
