Do you think Irina would be a good role model?

I'd say no. She has many lovely qualities as VaughnFan13 descirbed but she has done so much wrong, she's a wanted criminal, she abandoned her family and she's been living a lie for pratically all her life.

Heh. That fact that anyone would think like you scares me.
Manu, I think you were probably talking to me. If not, I apologize. If so, stop and think for a minute about how insane Irina's life has been all these years. Fictional character or not, she is no one to emulate. She would be the first to say so. Remember when she told Sydney not to think she's something she's not? That's what she meant.

I know what I'm saying. I don't have to think. Maybe you're the one who will have to think things over after the finale. Wait and see ;)

Unless Irina is prepared to turn herself back in and face the consequences for a lifetime of crime and deceit, I have nothing to reconsider. Now that kind of courage would be something to emulate. 🐈

You mean that's what she's planning to do -- turn herself back in? Now that would be a shocker, that's for sure! 🐈

You don't seriously want to be like Irina, do you?
 Umm, yeah. :geek:

She's wasted all her adult life with a sham marriage and then a career as an international criminal...
Lots of people waste their adult life with sham marriages. And we're all criminals in a way.

...who has abandoned her family -- twice -- and dares not trust anyone.
DTA--Don't trust anyone.I live by that.

Is that really what you want?

I think she's a great role model, she knows what she wants in life, and goes out and gets it, and NOBODY stands in her way. Not even her family...I think that she's a very motivated person, and she's all the better for it!

I like her second best to Syd...sorry Vaughn lovers, but she's just too cool, and some of the things she says? It rocks!

- Jack: That bridge is the point of no return. If you're lying about this, none of us will survive.
- Irina: I'd offer to go first but I don't want to be accused of trying to escape.

I've been stabbed in the back a few good times, and I stopped trusting ppl. It's quite sad though, if a 16 year old can't trust anyone. Oh well, the world is too corrupt and messed up for it's own demise.

Irina Derevko may be a criminal but as you can see now in the finale that if you look at them in a twisted way, they're always justified. She didn't turn herself in again, no, but if you walk a mile in her shoes you wouldn't either. And yes her life have been twisted, but she's NOT a bad mother! In my opinion she still loves Sydney. There's no one in the world you can 'trust' you can only believe in them, and hope that they won't stab you in the back. Except Irina is open with that. Now she may not be my 'role model' but I definitly admire the character of her.

I'm still sticking w/ no. However you have to give it to her, she still cares for Syd and kind of Jack. She's does things basically for her ownself, but the finale has me all confused, now I have to wait 4.75 months to find out what really happened.

After the finale, I am not at all confused. Irina Derevko is a genuine sociopapth, and she is NOT a role model for anyone.

Well...I hate to blow the whole 'finale' theory, but I haven't seen it yet :smiley:angry:smiley: so I can't pass judgement on it...but when I see it, I'll be able to do so.
