One of the causes that I stand behind is making it easier for people to get access to books to read. As a young kid I couldn't get enough to read and am happy to see when causes benefit readership.

To that end the band Pomplamoose has joined with the Richmond Book Drive to help purchase book for schools & organizations in the Richmond, California (USA), area. The concept is pretty simple... buy a book that is on the Richmond Book Drive's Amazon Wish List, select the Richmond Book Drive as the shipping address, get your Amazon order number, and then use your order number as the code to download a digital copy of the Pomplamoose Christmas album! Click here for the details. Very cool.

Pomplamoose, if you're not familiar with them, is an indie band that has grown a YouTube following for their often quirky videos of cover songs. Recently they have gotten a lot more notice thanks to a series of Christmas themed commercials that they are doing for Hyundai. To get a feel for their style of music, check out the Pomplamoose YouTube account. From this time last year their YouTube followers have gone from 15K to over 200K!

The songs you'll get for free are the Pomplamoose covers of...

    - Up On The Housetop
    - Jingle Bells
    - Deck The Halls
    - Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairy
    - Always In The Season

Courtesy of CoolSciFi.com, a purchase of the J.R.R Tolkien Boxed Set (The Hobbit & The Lord of The Rings [Fellowship of The Ring, The Two Towers, & The Return of The King]) and the Pocket Oxford American Dictionary & Thesaurus are on the way as we speak. :)
