Well, here is a show that I seemed to have missed mention of before.

NBC is doing a "limited-series" the fall of 2013 that takes on Dracula, the Bram Stoker classic that has already been the inspiration of dozens, if not hundreds, of books/movies/TV/articles, over the years. This time it is Jonathan Rhys Meyers starring as the title character who, in this interpretation, is an American businessman in Victorian London society who is out for revenge against those who had cursed him centuries before.

I know that @Azhria Lilu is looking towards this because of the lead actor but I'm not sure the world really needs Dracula version.

Loving the look of this. But then I love my vampire stories/movies/tv shows. I also love JRM I remember the first time I saw him on tv, it was in Gormenghast. Loved that show.

Dracula doesn't premiere until 25 October on NBC (I think here in the UK we're getting it around the same time, maybe a week or later). It stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula, who comes to Victorian-era England as an American entrepreneur and falls for Mina Harker (the double of his dead wife).

Am I the only one sad enough to be looking forward to this?

Never heard of it til now (not a huge tv viewer) but looks pretty good. But if he starts sparkling in the sunlight I'm outta there

Azhria Lilu submitted a new Showcase Item:

Dracula

Series introduces Dracula as he arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier. There's only one circumstance that can potentially thwart his plan: Dracula falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

I have to say I actually enjoyed the first episode.. More than sufficient to keep me tuned for a little longer anyway.
