The kids were ushered out of the office by Vaughn. It wasn’t unusual for Irina to stay overnight. Since Sydney’s disappearance she stayed over night with them because Vaughn had to work.
Back in the office Sydney didn’t speak. Silence filled the room as both of the try to sort out what to say to the other.
“Michael”
“Sydney” they said at the same time.
“okay, how about we go home then we talk.” Vaughn suggested even though he was dying to know why she was pregnant. She nodded. It was definitely gonna be a long night. They exited the Op centre in silence, the ride back home was silent, the walk up the driveway was silent, opening the door was silent, entering the house was silent. Finally the door shuts behind Vaughn and he was worried because she didn’t’ say anything yet. He wraps his arm around her shoulder.
“Come on let’s get you cleaned up” he said gently, but Sydney burst into sobs, the sobs tuned into hysterical crying, the tears flowed coming down hard like a thunder storm in the summer. Vaughn Suddenly was holding her close trying to comfort her.
“Shhh… Sweet heart, I’m here, it’s okay you’re home… talk to me.”
“Vaughn… It was them, they…” more sobbing
“Who’s they Syd? Please tell me”
“Sark, Sloane.” as soon as the tow names popped out of her mouth Vaughn’s blood began to boil.
“How dare they” he grinded through his teeth but fear suddenly hit him.
“Did Sark do this to you?” he said gently ran his hand over her stomach. She shook her hand her sobs making her shake.
“Oh god, tell me it’s not Sloane.”
“No,” she said, so quietly that Vaughn barely heard her.
“Then who Syd, Sweetie, please.” he begged. She shook her head.
“It was one of Cuvee’s man.” she blurted out. Vaughn had enough, his anger blinds him for a second and he punched a hole through the wall. The loud noise made Sydney flinch but also cry harder. Vaughn regretted his quick action.
“I’m sorry baby, I’m sorry.” he cooed “I’m sorry.”
heheh
