Season 2 Dumbing it down...

Well for all of us who were worrying that the take-down of SD 6 would mean a dumbing down of the show...after reading everything about this ep...I think we don't have too much to worry about...coz I must say...my head's spinning!! :smiley:
 
There is no way the show is being dumbed down. I mean, any show that can keep me online 3 hours after it airs, bouncing ideas back and forth between people definitely is not dumbed down.
 
Oh but see he goes to bed a lot after me. And last night i was almost gonna, i managed to take an hour "getting ready for bed" but i was afraid of what he would do if he caught me :Ph34r: my computer isnt in my room so it would be kinda hard...
 
does he use it after you? Cause if not, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you asked to stay up another half hour or so.
 
hmmmm, maybe just ask him what you can do around the house to help or something in return for allowing you to stay up a bit longer.
 
It wont work... it has nothing to do with that. It's all about him thinking I dont get enough sleep... if he only knew how late I stayed up during the week ^_^ (hehehe...)

you should try to use some sneaky alias moves :Ph34r: to get back to the computer. i mean, c'mon, you've seen enough episodes to try something. ;)

as for dumbing it down, i never had any doubts about the writers. i've had faith all along! okay, so maybe there was that day or two after phase one aired, but that was it! ;)

and i definitely agree with you, lenkid - any show that can get us talking this much about it and STILL being confused is certainly not dumbing itself down. there is, of course, the small possibility that WE'RE the dumb ones, and not the show, but as i said, it's a small possibility. :D

And the only problem with that is if i ever get caught... and the comp is right next to my parents room so...
 
I didn't have any doubts with them, I believed that Alias would still be spectacular and it is. This is about the only show that I am so wrapped up in every Sunday and then talking about it afterwards.
 
I think it'll still be plenty confusing, but confusing in a good way now. Now we're confused about the characters we truly care about, because the show is centered more on them. Before, with the SD-6 missions and CIA countermissions, I would get so confused just trying to figure out who they were going after and what they were trying to get, and how they were going to sabotage to mission, etc...that I couldn't get as "into it". Now the confusion is about Sloane, or Irina, or Vaughn, so I pay a lot more attention and am more interested in it.

I'm totally with ya on this. The confusion is more character-based now, and I love it! I think that the human element of the confusion is more appealing, because it deals with fidelity and love and being a mother or a father.

To be honest, I really didn't know what to expect with the new season. I mean, c'mon, at the beginning of the season, Irina shot Sydney. I was like... what a bitc-! Then we hear that she had to, because someone was watching her actions. Ya never know!

I always had hope that there would be enough vagueness or confusion to keep me interested -- even after SD-6 was gone. But I wasn't prepared for this much confusion. :eek:
 
It's really not confusing~ it's just that JJ keeps us guessing and we don't know what's going to happen next, which is really what we all love about the show in the first place!! :smiley:
