Oh man... GREAT episode! I loved every minute of it.
Mmmm Vaughn... though those boxers were really hiked up... and puffy! It was kinda funny. I love how he tweaked her nose, it was cute! "It's just a drawer." Indeed it is. And why hasn't she been to Vaughn's? His dog must be feeling really neglected, since it seems like he's not at his place often. Actually, I want to see what Vaughn's humble abode looks like!
I loved that quick disguise! And the coded message to Vaughn. I would never have gotten that, much less come up with something like that. I think it's funny how Syd said she was from West Virginia, since that's where Jennifer Garner is originally from. And man, how does she know the rituals of one certain sorority? She is like a walking encyclopedia! I was, however, not loving the cowgirl hair she had going. And the fact that after a wild ride on the mechanical bull, her hair was still perfect. After I ride a horse for an hour, my hair is all over the place!
The fact that the cowboy place was in Russia is great though.
I felt really bad for Elsa Caplan though when she was being yelled at by Jack. He is one intimidating man. "I probably care more about your son than you do!" Ouch. Yeah... Jack, hun, I don't think so. She's not faking those sobs. And she's definately a much more emotional Russian spy than Irena ever was. Jack was really hard edged in this ep. There were definately no snuggly, nice father scenes. "You may be comfortable with my daughter, but you're not comfortable with me." That's for sure. "Jack's gonna shoot you in the face." And I don't doubt that, Weiss. Except he didn't. Of course. Thankfully. And, to answer the question about when Jack became director, it was in Truth Takes Time. The higher ups were impressed with Jack anticipating Irena's moves and planting the passive transmitter on her that they decided to hand the reins over to Jack for this op.
The end was soo sad!
I wonder, though, was Diane really meant to die? Or was the bomb meant for Dixon? Either way, I think I was crying. Of course, they had to do it right after she was so nice and supportive, and didn't want her husband to quit doing what he loved. I wonder how much this will drive Dixon over the edge...
A month until the next new ep!
It's gonna be a looong month...
