The Good News:

At NBC's UpFront to advertisers, NBC President Jeff Zucker said that the network had signed the show for two more seasons, or 50 episodes. YAY! :D

The Potentialy Bad News:
Noah Wyle's, who plays John Carter, contract is up for renewal next season. EEK! What if he becomes the next Juliana Margolies and doesn't sign even though he'll no doubt be offered an exorbitant amount of money. I couldn't imagine the show without Carter.

Actually, Noah Wyle's reasons for maybe not coming back after next season has to do with his family. He wants to spend more time with his son. So maybe he'll be back, but not in as many episodes.

Ya, it just would be weird without Carter. He's the only one thats left from the orignal cast! Well, there's Susan, but she left for a while, so she doesnt count. lol. Oh, and there's some nurses, but still..... I think the show should end when Carter leaves.

I think I heard something similar...Noah Wyle will be around, just not as much (as everyone else has said) But ER kind of goes like that...the charaters leave for a while...I get confused...then they come back.

Well, Noah Wyle signed on for season 11 (through spring 2005). Which is how long the show is contracted for currently, I think. It could, of course, go on much longer. Though I don't know if I'll watch after Carter goes... for me, he is the heart of the show. I miss him a lot right now... I can't wait until he comes back!

In other news, it's reported that Maura Tierney's contract runs out after this year, and she has yet to renew it. Abby could be gone after this year.
