so what was everyone's favorite season of buffy? :D

i think mine was season five with glory. i hated the introduction of dawn though. that was a major negative for that season. but i loved everything else about it. remember "the body"? wow... that was a tearjerker. :(

anyway, what does everyone else think?

I always have a hard time choosing between Seasons 2 and 3, because they were both fantastic, but in overall quality I'd have to go with 2. With the introduction of Spike and Dru, Angel turning into Angelus, the tentative beginnings of the Willow/Oz, Xander/Cordy, and the short-lived Giles/Jenny relationships, as well as the amazing two-parters like Surprise/Innocence and Becoming Pt.1&2 - this was "Buffy" in peak form.

My favorite seasons in order of best to worst are..

Season 2
Season 3
Season 5
Season 1
Season 6
Season 4
Season 7

And they were all great, so "worst" doesn't really mean that much. But I thought this season didn't contain enough stand-alone episodes. The storylines about the First and the Potentials ran together so much that, looking back, I can't distinguish one episode from another. And I think the only truly "stand-out" episode this season was the finale. All the other seasons, even the worst, like 4 for instance, had at least a couple.

Gee, I would at least point to the one where Buffy learns that Spike has a soul as a stand-out. "Why does a man do what he mustn't? For her. To be hers." Wow.

Yeah, that was a great scene, but the episode overall, if I remember correctly, was about a giant worm-creature burrowing out of the ground and eating people. Not exactly on the level of "Hush" or "The Body". But the end definitely elevated it somewhat, I agree.

I thought this season's "Conversations With Dead People" was really good, where everyone was visited by manifestations of the First. And I liked the one exploring Anya's past. But overall, most of the episodes felt like they were covering the same ground again and again.

I would have to say Season 3 although I always have trouble deciding between 3 and 2. The mayor is my fav. villian and i liked that faith was a big character. And it also had Buffy/Angel and Willow/Oz. There were some eps. that I'm not big on ("The Wish", "Lovers Walk") but some like "Band Candy" and "Gingerbread" really stood out. So of all of them I go for season 3.

This one is a hard choice... i'm gonna have to say tho that this last season outdid them all... i mean, conversations with dead people, the finale, i wouldnt give those up to any other season

I voted for season 5. I loved all of the build up to the Glory thing, where she looks unbeatable so they all run away and then they capture dawn. But the season finalie in s5 was one of teh best buffy eps ever when she dies! A great ep, and i had avoided all the spoliers so i didnt know that was going to happen. A great season!

I have this theory that the odd-numberede seasons are the best
s1-starts it all, buffy dies
s3-faith, high school gets blown up,oz becomes full time cast member (YES!)
s5- new sister, buffy dies (again)
s7- well it hasn't finished yet(for us in the uk anyway) ubt i think it's been the most conisistently entertaing season since s3
those are just my thought feel freel to disagree
(you'd be wrong though)! lol

intresting theory u have there Rambaldi... i agree with u that all them seasons were great and that i think s7 is definatly going to end up just as good as the rest!

which episode was that?
The second episode, "Beneath You." Here's the entire concluding speech (courtesy Psyche's transcripts):

Spike: Why does a man do what he mustn't? For her. To be hers. To be the kind of man who would nev— (beat) To be a kind of man. (approaches cross) And she shall look on him with forgiveness and everybody will forgive and love… and he will be loved. So everything’s okay, right? (drapes himself over cross, begins to smolder) Can we rest now? Buffy, can we rest?
;)

dont really know If i have a favourite series
I have a lot of fave episodes
Like Conversations with Dead People nearly blew my mind away
also the finale of season 5 and becoming 1 and 2

I guess overall i think I would have to say my fave season was probably 5

I love the first three seasons cause (im sorry to all you B/S) of B/A they are the second best on screen couple and we all know who the best is

I LOVED Season 3. It was great, it had everything- your fighting, you love, your jealousy, plus, Faith is SO cool, your little internal issues...

I loved season 2 also, except Angelus killed me. It seriously hurt to watch. 😭 I'm the biggest B/A shipper on the planet... and it tore me up. 😭

i love buffy! every season wheadon and co. have made have been great (well season 6 was only good) but i especially liked season 5, the season finale was the best ep ever, i managed to avoid all spoilers so i was so shocked by the ending!! season 7 is one of the best aswell, the final episode is on this thursday here in the UK and i am so excited, its gonna be greatt!
