“What note on the door? I don’t see ANY note! I am not overreacting, you’ve scared me half to death! OH, right, you forgot to turn your cellphone on. We had a little chat about that remember?” Michael was making up excuses on the other line. I was tired of him disapearing all the time. “You always leave without telling me! Michael we are supposed to be getting married and it feels like your having an affair! No, you know what? Just stay where ever the hell you are. Don’t come back home tonight!” I slammed the phone down. I broke down crying, something was going on, and I needed to find out.

::Will::

“Sydney is back? Alive? I knew it.” Sark whispered into the phone. “Who kidnapped her, whats happened?” I answered back uneasily, “Irina, she kidnapped her, probably right before you got there.” “That *****, she cut her toe off and pulled her tooth out because she knew I was going to blow the place up. Well atleast we know what Irina’s up to. Probably used Sydney with the rambaldi device or something. Where was Sydney found?” he hissed. “Hong Kong.” I swallowed, my mouth dry. “Hong Kong it is then. I’ll keep touch on cell phone. I’m going to find out what Irina is up to.” “Right.” His phone clicked off right as I pulled into the drive way.

Sydney’s eyes met mine as I pushed the door open. “Hey.” Vaughn said turning around. I was surprised. Anger flushed over me soon after. Why was he here, he can’t be here, he doesn’t belong here, he wasn’t there for Sydney like I was, he forgot her, he forgot her to fast. “Hi Syd, Vaughn.” I said flashing a fake smile. Sydney gave me a cautious smile back. “I better be heading out. It was nice seeing you Will, bye Syd.” He reached his hand out, she shook it. “What was he doing here?” I asked as I watched him drive away. “You know, we just needed to talk.” She said. “So everything is just fixed now? You just forgive him after he forgot you so easily?” I asked, my anger rising. I saw the hurt in her face and softened. “I knew you were alive the whole time, I could feel it. Syd, I would never have gotten over you in a million years.” I said taking her hands. A tear glided down her boney face. “Thank you.” She answered, pulling me into a hug.

I sat back in the leather, cushioned chair provided for the first classmen. I pushed my hair to the side and felt the cool leather against my neck, trying to relax. Would I be able to betray my long lost sister? I ran the plan over in my head, I would say that mother was dead and that I had looked everywhere just to find her. I would explain that my mother had found her but had been caught by Sloane, who wanted to use Sydney. I would say that my mother tried to fight back but Sloane killed her. I had no idea where Sloane was but in my REAL mind, I knew, I knew he was dead. How on earth was I going to pull through with this? I’d loved to act all my life, but this was serious, and I don’t know if I can lie like this to my own sister.

The plane landed, I looked at my sheet of paper with the address printed onto it. I grabbed my suitcase and headed on to her house. It was a small house, a crème collar with dark brown shutters, a little boring. I’m sure she hadn’t been the one to design it. I walked up the stone steps, there were cactus plants scattered around the porch. I pressed my thumb to the doorbell, it’s tone spread through all the house. Foot steps padded towards the door . . . .

:Irina:

I couldn’t help but wonder how things were going with Sydney, I couldn’t wait to get the information from Jen. I looked sadly upon the large, rambaldi device that was set on a table before me, one piece missing. I flipped the small switch, the device began to heavily shake, tossing from side to side. The sky went dark, with the exception of lightening bolting down from the sky. The world would be mine when the device was done, I would be able to control all. Sydney was the missing piece, Sydney had the missing piece, and most likely the CIA would have it soon. A rumbling errupted from under my feet, I slowly switched off the device. The rumbling smoothed to a thin vibration, and the sky moved onto a normal evening sky. Acid rain began to pour, the side effect. The past two years had been such a success, I hoped it wouldn’t end here. I had managed to break Sark’s phone so that Allison would call Sloane instead, I had had his phone, I retrieved Sydney, hunching on the fact that Sark would return sometime and set the house on fire or blow it up to hide all evidence, left a tooth and a toe to leave the CIA from guessing. I had gotten Sloane to pick up his phone alone, and killed him. Rambaldi, all his teachings and inventions, everything was now mine. Sydney, was key. Jen had unfortunately tagged along. Jen was my accident, my reminder, of something I wanted never to be true. Jen had been born 6 years after Sydney. I left her to live with a distant friend, but that didn’t work out so she was stuck with me. She is going to trick Sydney, and if she screws everything up she will die.

:Sydney:

“Kid, go play tricks on someone else, I’m not in the mood.” I laughed sarcastically as I began to swing the door closed, in the face of a teen girl. She grabbed it, her fingers right where the door was to slam, I lunged towards the handle to stop it, and gave her a puzzled look. “What?” I said annoyed. “I really am your sister. My mother is Irina Derevko, she is an enemy of the United States, but not any longer I guess, seeing that she is dead.” She said quietly. “How did you know that? She’s dead?” I said, a million things running through my head. “I’m your sister, after she died I set off to find you, it’s taken two years, but your finally here. Or, I’m finally here. Can I come in?” She asked shyly, biting her lip awaiting my answer. “Umm, yes come right on in.” I said, stepping asaide from the doorway. “Put your stuff right there.” I said motioning to a chair. “Are you thirsty? How about some tea, it’s all ready?” I said quickly, rushing to the kitchen. “Sure!” she shouted to me. She stood awkwardly by her bag. “Have a seat on the couch over there!” I shouted to her. A few minutes later I walked out with our tea and sat down across from her. “Now, tell me. What do you know.” I said calmly. “OK.” She said taking a deep breath, “I am your sister, I’m six years younger than you, mother never told me who my father was. Until a few years ago I lived with a distant friend of my mother’s. They were killed unfortunately. I was returned to my mother. The secret of my mother’s scams were tried to be hidden from me, but I’m not stupid, and I’m nosy. I found out easily. Sloane had dropped his cellphone and my mother had found it. Francie, your roomate was a clone. She called Sloane’s phone after you blacked out, with little energy, shot in both arms. My mother received the call and detoured to go and save you. She managed to do that, unfortunately Sloane called to have them meet and for his cellphone to be returned. He killed her then and took you. I’ve received bits and pieces of information like this, and know nothing more. I’m sorry. I hope I’ll be able to stay with you until things are cleared up . . .” She trailed away. I stared at her in awe. My mind was so full it was blank, I couldn’t think. Snap back to reality, “Hmm yes. You’ll have to sleep on the couch. What did you say your name was?” She sighed in relief. “Jen.” “Please to meet you Jen, I’m Sydney.” I said, still dazed. She swallowed hard and whispered, “I know.”

:Vaughn:

I took Alice’s hands in mine and whispered, “I think we should wait, I think it’s for the best. I love you to God Alice, it’s just worklife is hectic.” Her lip quivered, “You told me she died from Menegitis, you told me she was dead. You told me that she ws gone.” She whispered. “I didn’t want you to feel like I was using you as backup Alice, I just . . . with Sydney back from Africa, it’s just so akward, I just need to work it out.” I black tear streaked her face, “You didn’t want me to think you were using me as back up, because you were.” She said softly, letting her voice rise, and harshen. She ripped her hands from my grasp and grabbed her keys from the counter, storming outside. I stood there numb as she started her car and drove away. I had no idea what to do, I really hadn’t been using Alice, I really do and did love her, it’s just when Sydney is around, I have a sort of glow about me, she makes my heart swell into my throat, she make my lips curl into a smile even when we just meet eyes. If the house behind me fell colapsed, but Sydney was infront of me, our eyes meeting, I wouldn’t notice. I absorb into her, I become her, I long to be with her.

Thx for reading!
