I think he is a good guy. Sure he misspeaks and is not an eloquent speaker like clinton was. Bbut look at the job he has done since Sept. 11. The reason that people say he hurt the economy is that they don;t understand something. The economy runs in cycles, and tradgedies (can't spell) lower it no matter what. The economy was at the top of its cycle in March 2000, then it fluctuated down, then the attacks. these compounded while GW was in office.

I could go on for several pages on several diff. issues, I just chose the economy, I would love to hear about other things like the envrioment, terrorism, and education etc. , but I would like to hear what Alias fans think about our president and how he handles diff. issues. Plz refrain from over using ad hominum (personal attacks)

i never really liked him but iraq he is handling well i just think he was never really good in terms of enviormental issues
 
He "hurt" the envrioment in order to boost the economy. Oil, and lumber which was all protected are now more accessable to utilize for economic uses.

Mabye, but people are yelling because of the economy, and people are yelling becasue of the envrioment. Things have been done like the tax cuts to boost the economy, he just is doing some with the envrioment.
Also that is a motive for war, nothing boosts an economy more than a war. WWII got the world out the depression.
 
i dont like bush at all....he's too....religous, and uses it in govt. speechs and stuff...we're not all Christian or catholic...whatever he is...besides, he hurt the environment just to make a few bucks
 
I'm sorry, but I can't even stand to look at the man!!! There is always another option besides war!!! George Bush just can't find the answer in his pea sized brain!!! I don't want war!! Alot of people I know and love would have to leave!!!
 
besides the war and among other things, i'm upset at him for issuing the commission to attack and undermine title IX. i also completely disagree with his nomination of miguel estrada for supreme court justice. (n)

i'm sorry, but i don't feel very foolish for not thinking that bush rocks.

and stalin was russia's leader and was clearly not a very good person - does that mean every russian should have respected him?

Right... but ever stop to think that if we use up all the natural resources they might one day be gone? The world does not produce things soley for the human race you know...
 
Oh I can't WAIT until election 2004 so I can vote for ANYONE besides Bush.....

Sure he got us through Sept. 11th....

Sure he is our leader......But he isn't a very good one....

And I for one will be glad when his term is over....

exactly. so does that mean those people should respect that leader for the simple fact that he IS their leader? of course not. anybody can be a leader but it takes skill, intelligence, and hard work to be a leader that people can respect.

is that how you feel? we should respect our leader no matter what? we shouldnt say that we dont like him? i wonder if thats what people thought about hitler....
 
I choose to remain out of polotics as much as possible but oh well. GB, with everything that has been thrown at him has done pretty well. Clinton had a very good economy when serving his terms, but he had not also had the nation experience 9-11, among otehr things. War at times is necessary, I don't want war, but what will happen if N. Korea, China, Iraq, Al Queda, all decide they hate us? Why not take care of the problem while it is smaller? I disagree with the education plan, and Bush's view on the environment but you can't change a person or how they think, so write to your Congressmen, they can overrride anything the president says. Do whatever, but give credit for the felgercarb that Bush has handled well!
 
I agree with alias 56! Bush is a great president, and a better president then clinton could have ever been.
 
DON'T compare GB to Stalin. Stalin murdered 24 MILLION of his own people. Thats 4x as many as HItler.
Look, I disagree with the anti-war people, but I respect the ones who are protesting because of their passion. If we didn't respect (respect doesn not mean to like) our leader ever, the country would fall apart.
By the way, listen to some old speeches by former presidents, they all refer to God. Seperation of Church and State doesn't say that GB can't be religious and speak of it in his speeches, it is meant to not allow the gov't to control and dictate a national religion.
