yeah....you're right. If you get a certain number on it...you test out of the class. I have my first next year (junior year is the first time) for history. And wow....does our school put an emphasis on them!

hum... we don't do that. all we do is in grade 3 eveyone will take a test called CAT (forgot what it stands for.) and again in grade 7 if you get a certain score, you're labeled as 'gifted' and you're offered to go to a certain school where everything is 'more advanced' and in high school there's only one school in my whole city that continue to offer the 'enriched' program. Only this time any one can take it if you get a teacher's reccomendation.

hehe sis... thanks but it's true.... i'm dumb.... i don't know how i'm in the high math class... it's truly a miracle that i'm not failing or just in that class!!!!

thats what im taking next year AP history and AP english!

I took AP english my senior year! It was seriously the best class I ever took in HS. I learned sooo much... and my first year in college, my english prof told me I was a really good writer and I know it was because of this AP class. My teacher was one of the AP test graders, so that helped a lot... even though I ended up registering to take the english lit test and not taking it after all.

I wanted to take AP history and AP gov't, but there wasn't enough room in my schedule. I took AP psych, which was cool, but really hard. I got a 3 on the test. I took AP French my junior year, but my teacher wasn't very good and she didn't quite prepare us for the AP test... I wish I could take that class over again, with a different teacher.

Anyways... my HS GPA ended up as like a 3.4... it was a 4.0 the last semester my junior year, but my senior year classes were HARD (honors physics, AP english and psych, etc) and I had senioritis really bad, so whoops! But my GPA's back up to a 3.67. :D

AP History. Heh. I took that this year.
The class was okay. Intense, but okay.
The test wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I'm pretty sure I did pretty horrid on it.
The DBQ topic was Roosevelt's administration and the success of his New Deal on the Great Depression. Lucky me, that was the one thing I didn't study. (-.-) I was hoping it would be about the Civil War but, alas, it wasn't.

Don't be like me and procrastinate and decide to study Rossevelt-present day in one night before the AP test. It doesn't work.

Oh--and hi Vicki!! ^.^
