Great Plays and Musicals

EEEEEEE you guys--- i changed my Broadway class! OMG... the first day was horrible... the teacher was soooo weeeeird...and the song was about cowboys and farmers... i shot right out and changed my class to tennis :lol: eeeeee... sowweee!
 
I saw Mama Mia in Toronto, and it was soooo funny. It is based on all the ABBA songs, and OMG it was hilarious. I am also seeing the Lion King next week.

and right now im listening to Caberet! Bleibe reste stay! Willkommen beinvenue WELCOME! i love Caberet throughly dark and different but amazing still! ;)
 
That's what I heard about Mamma Mia....lol...on the 200 greatest pop culture icons...;) I saw the Lion King in Toronto too...:lol: Though I imagine it's closer for you...;) I loved the musical!

nope... *sigh* it was really stupid... they performed it at the end of the camp talent show thingy and i just thought "PHEEEEEEEEEW, i didn't have to go through that" :lol:

i mean if it was a really good class with actual broadway songs or w/e i would have stayed!

Oh miss saigon... i didn't see that but my parents did. :rolleyes:

I have the soundtrack...I've done dances to it and I too love listening to it. Sadly, not in the car cranked up with my window rolled down...my mom wouldn't fly for that! :P But I love Think Of Me hehe :smiley:
 
Phantom is by far the best musical I have ever seen. I think I was in shock days after, b/c I loved it so much. And we even saw it in NYC, so it was even better!

I've done that before...I loved the musical more than anything!
 
okay just got back from nyc!!(great place!) and i saw four Broadway musicals......and if it is even possible, my love for the art form has grown! which is scary becuase i was in love with it before!
i saw producers, urinetown(which i have wanted to see for along time) 42nd street and gypsy(with the amazing Bernadette Peters!)

i was disappointed in the producers. the plot line and various dialogue sequences were very discomforting to me, i just didnt like it. the sets were so elaborate though, i loved those. but if it wasnt for the second act i wouldnt have liked this musical at all but the second act was much better.

urinetown is hilarous! i couldnt stop laughing it just pokes fun of every single big hit musical in the most hilarous ways! i loved it, one of my favorite musicals! 42nd street was great too, the dancing was just outstanding!
but gypsy! Bernadette Peters was just amazing.............im still in awe of the last scene where she sang rose's turn! just amazing! the set and transitions were really neat as well!

once again i LOVE broadway!!!!
