Great Plays and Musicals

I've seen 42 street on broadway and my high school is putting on 42 street which I am in. I've also seen Urinetown, which is really, really, really, really, GOOD!!!!! I love it so much, 3rd row seats!!! newasy I really recomend this if you like a melodrama or a comedy of the absurd. It's like political and in the end I thought it was a little sad, but it is excellent I recommend it. Plus the theatre is tiny on broadway and you feel really close to the actors.

Love always,
"me"

I've seen Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia and Lion King on Broadway... off-Broadway, I've seen How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Grease, Guys & Dolls, Annie, Cheaper by the Dozen and a few more... tomorrow I'm going to see Our Town, and one my my best friends is Emily... I'm so excited!

I recently saw the touring production of Movin' Out and it was amazing!! One of the kids from my studio was a swing and it was great to see him on stage. I absolutely loved it. The dancers were unbelieveable. I've also seen the Lion King and I want to see Miss Saigon and a bunch of others.

I'm seeing a broadway show with my high school... A Raisin in the Sun and P. Diddy is going to be there! :D ( i mean he plays the main character)

I saw a play. It was during Easter couple years ago. (This was at my Uncle's church) It was about Jesus (I don't remember the title) It was amazing! It felt so real. We might see it this year. I'm not sure.

I would love to see a broadway show!

mamma mia is SO funny

I've seen:

Phantom of The Opera (8 times -- can you tell it's my fav.?)
Miss Saigon
Les Miserable
Rent
Beauty and The Beast
Lion King
Fosse
Grease

want to see:

Producers
Movin Out
Mamma Mia

I've seen

Crazy for You
Beauty and the Beast
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat
Phantom of the Opera
Mamma Mia
Lion King
Chicago
42nd Street
Aida

I'm dying to see the Producers, especially now the Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane are back. But the tickets are all sold out. They don't even have standing room ones. :( The music is great and since Stro (Susan Stroman) is choreographing and directing, it would definitely look great!

I saw a play that my brother's in today, and when he tackled someone he broke the couch.
I also saw an abridged version of Macbeth, put on by the grade 10 Drama class, which was pretty funny. But they needed to practice some more.

I'm going to see "Chicago" the BEST musical in the whole wide world on Broadway April 22, and I CANNOT wait!!!!!!

*sings*

pop, six, squish, uh uh, cicero, lipsitz... :D

As I have never been to NYC and I live on the West Coast (it's not exactly cheap to fly out to NYC, ya know), I haven't seen shows on Broadway, but I've seen copious amounts of touring and regional shows....(let's just say I'm a bit of a drama geek)
Touring Shows:
Mamma Mia(x2, current touring cast isn't all that great, but it's still pure fluffy fun entertainment)
Phantom of the Opera (was my 2nd huge musical obsession as a kid...I almost cried when I got the tickets, and that was when I was like 8 or 9)
Rent (I'm a huge RentHead...it's almost pathetic how much I love this show)
Cats
Fosse (x2)
Porgy and Bess (I don't know how I got dragged to go to this show...it was painful)
Producers (well, haven't seen it yet, but I've got my tickets for when the tour hits the hometown in June)

We've got this thing here in Sacramento (where I live) called the Music Circus and it's put on by California Musical Theatre, and they do some pretty great professional shows...it's pretty well-known in NYC and the such. I've seen Cats, Into the Woods, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Wizard of Oz, and so much more that they've done, and their shows have been better than a lot of tours I've seen. I also saw a stellar production of the off-Broadway "Bat Boy" done by a local high school. It was awe-frickin-some. But I may be a bit biased, seeing as I auditioned for it and most of my friends were in it...

I'm hitting NYC this summer, though, after over 2 years of begging and complaining to the parentals. We're gonna see Wicked (I've been a fan of this show since its San Francisco tryout run last summer), Rent (I can't go to NYC and not see Rent again, it's against my credo), probably some Disney on Broadway show (for the whole family...I can't exactly take my little 10 year old brother to Rent), and hopefully Avenue Q. I am in lurve with Avenue Q...so funny. But there's so much more I'd like to see...especially Cabaret, but since that's closed I don't think I'll be seeing that anytime soon.

On Broadway:
The Producers (with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick)
Les Miserables
Oklahoma
Wicked
Chicago
Gypsy (with Bernadette Peters)
The Boy From Oz (with Hugh Jackman)
Beauty and the Beast (with Christie Carlson-Romano, from the Disney channel)

Off Broadway:
The Complete Works of William Shakespere Abridged
Blue Man Group
The Fantasticks
Stomp

Other:
The Rocky Horror Show
The Outsiders
Equus
Saint Joan
Jesus Christ Superstar
The Rhimers of Eldrich

There are alot more but I can't think of them right now.
