Hate Lori?

Hi All,

I'd like to know why ya'll hated Lori so much? I never found her to be that displeasing. Yea she slept with Shane, but she thought her husband was dead. She was looking for comfort and companionship during such a hard time.

I didn't think she was all that bad of a mother. She trusted the group she was with and it wasn't like they were going to hurt Carl. Yea Carl should've stayed in the house lol. I guess Lori over trusted the group. But she did care for Carl...helped him with his homework, scolded him for getting medical supplies (like any mother would)..etc

So tell me why you hate Lori. I'm interested in your opinions! Enlighten me

I didn't mind her for the longest time. Really...

At the end of Season 2, after she kept the tension between Rick and Shane... kept telling Rick that Shane was no good, needed to be dealt with, etc. When he told her he killed Shane, and she pulled away like a skank. That did it for me. Rick should have blasted her between the eyes. That one single motion she did when she pulled away ended her for me.

Yea that's true. She definitely contradicted herself there. but at the same time, maybe she was realizing what Rick had become by killing a human so close to the group. I mean yea he killed those two in the bar, but they meant nothing to the group. Shane helped Lori get through the ZA while Rick was finding his way...but I agree, she was wrong to flip on Rick for killing Shane. Also, she may have been upset that Carl saw it happen and that it was Carl that had to put him down after he turned.

Shane only helped Lori to get into her panties... which was accomplished.

Rick didn't kill Shane because of WANT, it was necessity. Had he not done it then at that moment, Shane would have killed him. When faced with those choices, it is obvious as to why Rick stabbed him. I mean, Shane said himself that was why he led him out into the field. Would it have been better for Rick to chance it?

true, I guess Lori didn't understand that. She was a bit two faced when it came to that situation "take out shane" "omg you killed shane" . A bit bipolar don't ya think?

I'm curious as to why people think she was a bad mother?

I'd say it has to do with the fact she could never keep tabs on her son. In the middle of a zombie outbreak where people are getting killed all the time. Plus, early on, she left Carl to go do the horizontal mambo with Shane... then Rick returns and all is well.. Pffft.

For me it wasn't a matter that she cheated, well it was kind of but you atleast wait thinking your husband is dead not jump into the sack after 5 minutes with his best friend and get pregnant. It just shows the lack of dignity, self restraint she had which officially made her a skank, the people's skank. Now don't get me wrong, I tried to like her, see where she was coming from and what kind of emotional state she was in which was "shock" but then thinking further she was too judgemental to be in shock. So with that she played the field and still judged others and at times was severely hypocritical forgetting the times she jumped on shane, lost her son and not forgetting how the heck do you turn over a car when there's zero obstacles on the road?

Imo She got what was coming to her and Rick imo will be a better man for it. Plus I never liked her in prison break she posed the same judgmental character in that show and it sort of carried on over to the walking dead.

Well she didn't really play the field. Just slept with shane. imo playing the field is sleeping with many people. but anyway, I think she did ok with what she had. Sucks that her character played out the way it did. Sarah is a great actress and the perfect person to play Lori. I like Lori and was sad to see her go.

I think she's one of those characters you either adore or loathe. No doubt any actor/actress that can induce an emotion from the viewer whether it's admiration or contempt is a good at their job. No doubt about her acting abilities she is indeed good.

She is not my least favorite character, that honor goes to Andrea. But she is far from my favorite. I also tried to like her, but I also sort of cried when she died. Yes she slept with Shane not long after her husbands "death", but the world had gone to hell. And while I don't think I could find myself doing that, I can forgive her for it. What makes me dislike her was the whole "Leave my son alone, he is my problem to deal with" but then she gets mad when Shane disregards Carl. And the playing of Rick and Shane. I think my tears were really for Rick, cause even though she put him through hell, he loved her. I just hope his "love life" doesn't play out too much like the comics. lol

I think she's pretty stupid to have had sex during a zombie apocalypse in the first place and with Rick's best friend not long after he was put in the hospital when it started. On top of all that, she didn't even have the balls to go get the birth control herself, she flips a car on a road with no obstacles (I see why some men think women drivers are bad. >.>) she seems always lose Carl and can't even keep the kid under control and let him walk all over, and on a small note gives him homework. Bitch, I don't need to know math, I need to know how to shoot a damn gun so I don't get my face eaten off.

But yeah, good actor. Played her role pretty well and I liked her character in the sense that she was developed well not the I like Lori and what she has done. XD

Ha! I see your point, especially about the homework. I mean really, who needs math in a ZA? Unless you are calculating trajectory or something, but I wouldn't be wanting to learn all that. It is the freaking Zombie Apocalypse, give a kid a break.
