i think the random forum posts should count. cause all of our topics in the member lounge are getting moved 2 the random forum and then getting closed

but then there are also places, such as the lotr thread, where only a few ppl go. in cases like that we only end up talking to a few ppl, but those ppl arent necessarily on at the same time, so we need to, i guess you could call it "leave messages"

The problem with that is that not everyone is always online (esp. for people who don't live in the US). I think however, that when a lot of people are online in a random thread, we should/could tell people to go to the chat room.

Well if they were posting a message for certain people to see, they should be PMing it to those people anyway.

What I mean is if you have everything in the chatroom, non-US people are often left out.

LOL, no it's not!!!! There are reasons, but that's a bad one. That's just a reason to have random topics AT ALL.

yeah my point... and if no one is there, you dont wanna sit there waiting for ppl to come, while they are over talking in the forums and you are missing out ^_^ then you leave, someone else comes, and it keeps going. its hard to catch ppl

Topics in the Member Lounge (I mean A LOT of them) just got moved to the random forum. I stayed on one of those topics SOOOO long that I moved from an Agent to an Experienced Handler in less than 5 days!!!! It wass just moved.... You've gotta make randoms count...............please

That's exactly why they don't count. You shouldn't be posting just to increase your post count.

That IS what would happen if we merged the two forums, however your post makes me want to merge the LESS because I don't want to just give people a way to post useless posts and get higher ranks!

I agree with you there, by making the random posts count people will probably start uselessly posting and that gets really annoying. I think it should just stay as it is member lounge posts will count and the random doesn't.

Yes, it seems the best way of doing things is to keep it the way it is now and tweak a few things if neccessary. (like getting admin approval before starting new topics in Random)

but the thing is a lot of USEFUL forums are getting moved to random, such as teh cat lovers. that was COMPLETELY on topic, no useless posts, no hi or byes, yet it was still moved there. im a little lost as to why that is random
