hmmm...I will post the articls of faith for ya...I had to memorize these when i was like 6

1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.

3. We believe that through the atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.

6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.

8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

-Joseph Smith

oooooo ok lol i read that wrong i thought it was a direct quote from the book of mormon or soemthing like that

Well it is in the Book of Mormon...it's not ancient text though...Joseph Smith wrote a section of the Book of Mormon called "The Pearl of Great Price"...it's not really part of the book of mormon though...we have 4 books we believe in...The Bible (King James Version), The Book of Mormon (which is acient text from prophets), The Pearl of Great Price written by Joseph Smith through revelation, the Doctrin and Covenants also written by Joseph Smith through revelation...the articles of Faith is the last page of the WHOLE kit'n'caboodle

They are!!!! I plan on going on one!...one of my cousins whose a girl is on one and is coming back on friday! im excited!...girls missions are 1 1/2 years though...and guys are 2...i dont really know why...I love this...ask questions! because there are so many false theories and rumors floating around on mormons...go ahead and ask!

ahh...okay, that's so cool. i have absolutely no idea where i got the idea that women weren't allowed to go on missions. i think it's because the guy i went to senior ball with - he has an older brother and a couple of younger sisters and his older brother went to thailand for his mission while he's currently in australia on his. i don't think there are any plans for his younger sisters to go on missions, but i suppose it's just a family thing or something. i also know another guy who went to canada for his mission. do you have any ideas on where you would go?

nope...no one knows where they go...you send a registration form in...then theres something you get called a "mission call" ...they tell you where you are going and when you should report to the MTC...(missionary training center)...you sepnd 6 months in the MTC and then you go on your mission...you have to be 19-26 i believe to go on a mission for girls i think its 21-26...i could be wrong though...

I want to go somewhere in South America...preferably Belize or Columbia...lol it would suck if i got called to like Boise, ID or something lol...
