Here's Chapter 6, sorry it took a few days.
Chapter 6:
“Sark!” Sydney screamed into the phone. Weiss jumped up and stood behind her, as well as Kendall and Jack, who were talking in another room.
“How nice to speak to you again, Sydney. I told you we would speak again.” He said with a cocky grin, staring at Vaughn.
“Sark, I also told you that I am coming to find you and I won’t sleep until I kill you.” She said with confidence and hatred.
“Ah, yes, of course. Well I assume you are getting closer.” He said and then paused. Sydney looked confused and scanned the room. Jack and Kendall had headsets on, listening in. Weiss was standing beside her and looked very confused.
“Sydney. I have a gift for you.” He said taking the phone closer to Vaughn. “There is someone here who wishes to speak with you.” He said as he took his phone away from his ear and put it in front of Vaughn, tied to a chair.
He exhaled loudly. “Sydney” He said weakly.
“Vaughn!” She screamed, bringing her hand to her mouth, in shock. Both Jack and Weiss let out gasps. Sydney was breathing heavily, frequently. “Are you okay? Sark didn’t do anything to you, did he?” She got out before crying.
“No, I’m okay.” He said quietly, looking at the floor, with tears in his eyes. He let out a breath of relief, knowing she was okay. “How are you?” He added with a slight smile.
She caught sense of his smile, somehow. “Why are you asking about me? You’re the hostage.” She said, letting a little smile cross her cheeks, but it didn’t last long. She continued to breathe heavily, calming herself.
Sark had had enough. He rolled his eyes and motioned for Vaughn to finish up. Vaughn saw his movement and looking at the phone, in the most cheerful voice he could manage he said, “I’ll see you soon.”
Sydney was silent. She was still shocked. Tears were now streaming down her face. Then Sark’s voice was once again heard. “Aw, wasn’t that nice. Now, if you ever want to see him again, don’t come after me.”
Then he hung up the phone.
~~~
Sydney put down her phone. She slowly leaned forward and put her elbows on her desk. She then put her head in her hands. Her breathing slowed, and she began to relax. He was alive. She just heard his voice and he was concerned about her. Everything was going to be okay. Everything was going to be fine she told herself. She would see him again.
~~~
Sark hung up his phone and took a deep breath. Vaughn stared at the floor. Sark picked up a folder and began to walk out. He turned and said with a small smile, “You’ll see her again, Mr. Vaughn.”
As soon as the door closed, Vaughn lifted his head. His face was covered with tears. He wanted more than anything to see Sydney. All he wanted to do was look at her beautiful face and stare into her amazing eyes. He just wanted to be with her again, like nothing had happened. He wanted to run home and find her sitting on his doorstep. He achieved a small smile when he thought of coming home to see Sydney. He fell asleep thinking of her.

Back in LA, Sydney could not get Vaughn’s weak voice out of her head. She kept hearing “Sydney. How are you?” over and over. He was worried about her! All she’s thought about for the last few days is Vaughn, and when she thought she was dead all she could think about was the last minutes she had spent with him. She was pushed out of her thoughts by the noises of Kendall and her father walking up to her desk.
“Sydney, when we talked to Sark, we traced the call.” Jack said with a satisfied tone.
“Really? It couldn’t have been that easy. It must be a trick. Why did he let us do that?” Sydney inquired.
“I don’t know why, but you should be happy. We have decided to continue to track his signal and we will send in a team as soon as we get more evidence of where he is exactly.” Kendall said sternly to Sydney.
“That’s great. When we decide to go in, I have to be part of that team.” Sydney said sternly herself, making her own demand.
“Um, that’s what I need to talk to you about. Will you excuse us for a minute?” He asked Kendall. He nodded and left them. Sydney was a little scared of what her father was going to say next. She had no idea what he was going to yell at her for this time.
“Sydney, you can’t go on this mission. You’re pregnant. Or have you forgotten already?” He said with a little smile.
“No, of course I haven’t forgotten. I just want to be there when we get Vaughn back, and you know I want to be there when we get Sark. I can go; I’ll be careful.” What started out as a harsh demand turned into a plea.
“Okay. I understand. You can go, but as soon as you come back, you’re taking A LOT of time off. We’ll keep you up to speed, go home and rest.” Jack said and left Sydney.
“Okay. Thank you, Dad. I’ll see you soon.” She said as she picked up her things and left.

Sydney took her time driving home and checked her phone to see if anyone was calling every couple minutes. No one did. She decided to go to the grocery store and pick up a few things to make for dinner. Hopefully that would get her mind off Vaughn.
She went to the checkout and paid, then got in the car and drove home. She got home and took out all the things she just bought. When she was putting the milk in the fridge, her phone rang. She almost jumped and spilled the milk, but she got it into the fridge. She picked up her phone and said, “Hello? Hi Dad, have you heard anything?”
“Yes. Sark has been traced to New York. They’re here, in the US.”
Sydney was stunned. “They’re here.” She repeated to herself before hanging up the phone.
