Season 2 intented plot?

Since Alias needed to boost ratings by using the post-superbowl episoide,
is it possible that they already shot another "normal" version, but then
changed it last minute (as in maybe just a month ago) to make it better
and more radical?

How far in advance are the episodes shot? written?

One thing is that they have to write the scripts far in advance since
they can't just randomly fire actors - but then if the actors/actresses
stop working for alias, isn't it apparent that they will be removed from the plot?

you know what though?
you can tell the whole ep was set up for the post-superbowel slot....::snickers::
from the opening sequence to the whole rehash on behalf of Kendall to bring new viewers up to date...
um...yeah...

Doubt it. Plenty of preparation goes into Super Bowl Sunday.

Anyway I've only just seen part of it, and props to Dixon!!

I do not understand how they could have switched this episode and next weeks episode. What is going to happen next week that will seem normal after SD-6 was taken down?

i totally agree. how could it be? i heard ethan hawke was supposed to be a double agent and compromise syd's position...but too bad sloane and sark already know about her. jeez. -_-

yeah....i was kinda wondering that...and when i was reading spoilers some of the stuff that happened last night was supposed to happen in 'double agent'
so did they just splice the ep??

Ethan Hawk is suppose to play a supposide double agent for the CIA not SD-6

I read somewhere on this site <or maybe another one> that abrams wanted to make eveything simpler so that new viewers could watch as well, since the plot was way to complicated for anyone but the regular watchers.

He said that even though it appears simpler, it will still be as interesrting and stuff as the other Alias episodes.
