When Sydney was captured by The Man's organization at the end of last season, Khasinau told her that he wasn't The Man. Then he stepped aside revealing Irina, implying that she might be The Man. But if we believe Irina, she had to shoot Sydney because Cuvee was watching her to test her loyalty, indicating that she wasn't in charge.

So is she The Man or not? If not, who is? What do you think? Tell us why.

I've been wondering about that too....It was implied that Irina was "the man" but it was never specifically stated, which on this show means that it probably isn't the case.

That's a good point. If Irina was in charge, why was she worried about Cuvee killing her and Sydney both? Was it just because even her lesser "subordinates" would kill her for betraying them? I think there is much more to this whole organization than we yet know about. Irina hasn't really explained any of it yet...and Sark is supposedly in hiding at SD-6, isn't he? I have a feeling some of this will start to come to light as the season progresses. It would be strange of the writers to just leave it open-ended the way it is now. Whatever happens, I'm sure we won't be expecting it!

(Maybe it's Rambaldi! Or would that just be too far out there, even for Alias?)
