Jennifer Garner on Leno

Jennifer walks out in an (of course) stunning black dress. She talks about her work schedule and her Christmas plans. She explains that her family will have Christmas on a boat in the Bahamas. Jay then asks her about Scot Foley’s show and asks if they are competitive. The interview then turns to Alias being placed after the super bowl. After shooting a bikini scene, she found out that millions of more people would be watching that scene because Alias had been given the post-superbowl slot (AllAlias.com note: There had been rumors that JJ Abrams, the creator of Alias, had been asking for this in the summer).

Catch Me If You Can is the next topic. In the movie, Jennifer plays Cheryl Ann, a hooker. They play a clip from the movie.

- Every Christmas, Jennifer is in charge of passing out presents. She wears a hat that says “Santa Pup”.
- Her family nickname is “Puppy”.
- Scott sits with a dictionary while playing Scrabble to look up words

Jennifer was awesome on Leno! She looked beautiful and she was so full of energy. She always is. She always has the funnies stories to tell and I love her laugh. Hmm...maybe I should send her a Santa hat with "Santa Pup" on it hehe. Just kidding. That is a cool tradition though. :xmas:

This is what I posted on my yahoo group on Jennifer Garner last night on Leno late night talk show; I watched it this morning after taping it last night a few summary of the interview below!

I like Jennifer's story about having traditional Christmas with her parents and Jen thought her Mother could still pull it off on the cruise from the Chesapeake to the Bahamas Islands! Jennifer's role in all this is to hand out presents a role she has had since she was a very very little girl -- Jen wears a hat that says "Santa Pup" on it! Her nickname from her family is "Puppy"!

(No connection to part of my user name "Jaredpuppy"! I named part of my user name puppy after the fact that my father got my mother a German Sherphard puppy when I was a baby to protect us in West Virginia while he worked during the day!) Just a coincidence I suppose... ?

I imagine Jennifer was named "puppy" because of her cheerful and energetic personality; there was indication she is still that "kinda of gal"! Lots of energy and that "win and influence" friends attitude! Charming woman and you can see that she knows how to attract her audience and with little effort have her fans love her!!! ;-)

Jen was put on the spot last night when asked about her husband, Scott Foley's new show starting in February! If on the same night who would she route for and she kinda squirmed a little and had a commercial to think about it and said my husband's show because he makes more money than I do! Safe answer! Any competition between the two of them and again a very good safe answer on "word games" that they play together little cheating though with the use of a dictionary!

Talk about Alias following the Superbowl and some sneak bit-spoiler on her being undercover without covers -- mention of being naked and she says "OH NO" nothing like that... a Bikini Episode as an undercover agent... something to look forward to ... some more scenes of Agent Bristow in her sexy disguises! I guess something for the guys to drool over after watching football!

Jennifer talks about her latest movie soon to come into the theatres this month "Catch-me if you Can" her role as a "high-priced" prostitute! Short clip was shown with her having Leonardo guess how much it would cost for having sex with her for the whole night... interesting facial expressions and moves on Jens part of the role!

Ending the interview with talk on the sexy role on Alias and the sexual role on Stephen Spielberg film indicates that if her audience increases on Alias in the new year ... "Sex -- Sells"!!! ;-)

hey, really sorry about that post on the general board. i'm somewhat new and i didn't scroll down and see the rest of the possible board topics. i know, it's an incredibly stupid newbie thing to do, how do you not know to scroll all the way down? but that's me! sorry again!

anyway, this was what i posted on the general board by accident (or rather, by sheer stupidity). well, the gist of it:

what i REALLY wanted to talk about was when jay leno asked her about scott foley's new tv show. it's going to air on tuesdays at 9 or something. so then he asked her, "what if your show and his show aired at the exact same time? who would you root for?" and she sort of hesitated and said something like, "well, he makes more money than me, so we'd probably root for him."

now, does this strike anyone else as a little odd?? alias has been on for an entire season already and as we can see from last season, it was fairly successful. jennifer garner became a huuuuge mega star with magazine covers like, everywhere not to mention roles in two uber big movies (catch me if you can and daredevil). so after last season, it would make sense that they would probably raise her salary, right? and yet, scott foley is still making more than her? on a show that's JUST starting out?

btw, please don't take this to mean that i don't like scott foley; i do! i think he and jennifer garner are such a cute couple (i loved her story on another ep of jay leno where she told about how they had limo problems on the way to the emmys) and when he was on felicity i totally wanted him and felicity together. but still...i found it a little weird that he made more money than her, especially considering the fact that if you went up to a random person and asked them if they knew who jennifer garner or scott foley was, i bet they'd probably say they've heard of the girl before but not the guy.

anyway, i don't really want to reach the ugly conclusion of "men just get paid more than women, no matter what" but...that's almost what it looks like. i mean, is it just me or does it look like that to anyone else too?

Maybe Jennifer Garner doesn't want it to appear that she is overshadowing her husband, Scott Foley. Scott Foley apparently is proud of her success but to have it thrown in his face a lot would most likely cause problems in their marriage. Response to the fact that Scott Foley may or may not be making more money for a new TV Show airing in February! :xmas:

I have some digital pics of Jennifer on Leno. Would Charlie (I know he went away from the board for a while) or Tommy want me to send them so you can upload them for everybody to see? They might not be the best quality, but they look alright. Let me know and hopefully we can figure out a way for them to be seen.

I saw it last night when I got home. Have been away for the holidays, but I set the VCR and For once it actually worked!! It started taping during the commercial (before leno came on) actually on the correct channel (!) AND it kept rolling all the way to the end of the show! Knowing my VCR, *that* is really something! I actually said "Thank You" when I took the tape out... haha

I can really see why her family calls her "puppy"! My dog had similar "moves" and attitude when he was little. Very adorable! And the SantaPup - NOTHING can beat tradition!! :xmas:

yeah, she was great on Leno. The "Santa Pup" tradition is cool and I thought it was funny when she mentioned that she and Scott are competive in Scrabble. I think she has a great personality.
