I searched for a thread about this show, but didn't see anything...hopefully I didn't just miss it somehow.

This one took a few episodes to catch my interest, but it grew on me. A bit much on the adult-side with the relationships and all, but space-based bounty hunters are always good in my book. Plenty of little side plots to keep things interesting. Characters all seem to have enough back story to make for good storytelling. Too bad their ship's computer doesn't have a bit more personality, though.

The first season finale for this one was just this past week, and I haven't heard whether it's been picked up for renewal. Hoping so, but if not, at least I'll have a little more time in the summers to write.

I've seen Killjoys adverts while watching other stuff on SyFy but haven't watched any of it.

So you'd say it is worth going back on watching the full season?

That's where I saw the ads for it, while watching Defiance. I went back and watched it via On Demand...was a bit slow and rough for the first 3-4 episodes, but then it started to grow on me.

Not sure if I'd say to wait until they renew it for another season or not...as we all know from Firefly, you might not get that chance.

So it turns out that episodes 3, 5, & 8 of season 1 is not available from SyFy's on-demand from Verizon FiOS but they are available to rent/buy. What the.... :wtf:

And now that S2 has started all of S1 has been removed from FiOS SyFy on demand.

I'm finally caught up with Killjoys! :D SyFy has the full episodes available on their site so I ended up playing the episodes on my laptop and then streaming them to my TV using Google Chromecast. It was a bit of hassle that way compared to say, Netflix or On-Demand, but it was doable. Surprisingly the full S1 episodes on SyFy.com did not have commercials in them; you could see when the normal fade-out/fade-in breaks would've been yet but no commercials, not even for other SyFy stuff.

With S2 I have to wonder if they'll be on Leith more now that Old Town has had a few.... renovations.

Jury is still out...based on S2E2, it looks like they might spend a bit more time in Old Town than I would have figured.

Surprised that SyFy.com didn't have commercials added. The last time I attempted to play episodes from the CW site (after apparently missing an episode of iZombie that didn't stay in On Demand long enough), they not only had loads of commercials, it also locked up a few times, prompting me to restart where I left off, but having to again watch the same commercials before the show would restart.

I'm hoping Old Town is explored a bit more because, at least to me, I find the bartender character interesting. In the last several episodes of S1, and now the start of S2, the 'blink-and-you-missed-them' references to his past are attention grabbers. The answer to the question "When were you a war lord?!" is something I wouldn't mind hearing/seeing more of. :D

New season premieres Friday (7/19)...looking forward to it. Hopefully I remember what all has gone on up to this point...
Just updated the DVR for it. (y) I don't remember it being on at 10PM before but, really, with the DVR I never watch most shows 'real time' anyway.

Me neither...I'm just glad that it was already set up on my DVR, since there's always a 50/50 chance that I might miss the announcements of the new season.

First episode was a little bizarre (seemed like they were going for an awkward form of backstory building), but the second one made things a bit more interesting...not sure where they're headed with the brothers, though.

Is it just me or does this season seem a bit... slower... than previous in regards to the pace of the action?
