If you are a fan of apps like Dead Yourself, where you can take a picture of yourself on your cell phone and then turn yourself into stuff like zombie, then here is one for the music fans. KISS now has an official app to KISS yourself! Available for Android & iOS, the free app allow you take a pic and add the iconic KISS makeup.

The app is free and includes some basic options. Additional graphics can be purchased in-app.

We suspect KISS is a band either loved or hated. Those falling into with the former, as KISS lovers, may find some fun with this recently released photo bomb app. Yes, KISS has released an app for Android (and iOS) users. The app is called KISS Photo Bomb and currently available by way of the Google Play Store.

While free, we should point out there are some in-app purchases available. On the free side users will be able to "KISSIFY" their pictures. This includes adding some images of the band, or adding a mask (painted in KISS fashion). Of course, there is also the Gene Simmons tongue included.

The app allows you to use an existing image or a newly captured image and the process is simple and pretty basic. You take the image, then apply the decorations. Those decorations can then be moved around the picture and also resized to better fit. Once finished you can save the image to your device and also share it on your choice of several social networks.

The in-app purchases are all $0.99. There are three options available; a Masks pack, Love pack, and some frames. The app makes for a bit of fun, but we did find things didn't always line up as expected. Needless to say, a bit of trial and error allowed us to come out with some comical images that we aren't quite comfortable enough to share here.

Those looking to create some KISSIFIED images will be able to find the app using this Google Play Store link.

Between this and the Dead Yourself app, I prefer the Dead Yourself app because it offers more items to play with with no in-app purchases. Plus when you are taking a new photo there is an alignment grid to match up to your face to get the best shot possible to use with the items. In short, the Dead Yourself app from AMC is totally free and is more polished while the KISS Photo Bomb feels cruder, both in the interface and the graphic items you can add, while needing to purchase additional items beyond a basic free set.

Here is me before a shave & haircut..... :D
