Chapter 7: Sizzle

Stacey’s heart skipped a beat, then she started to laugh bitterly.
“What? What do you need, a drop of my blood? You take all the effort to kidnap me just to get a drop my blood while I would’ve just given it to you?!” Sark looked at her maliciously.
“Who ever said it was just a little?” he clicked his fingers and two guards came in. They roughly uncuffed her from the chair and dragged her out of the room. The walk was long and Stacey was in a haze. The next thing she knew was in this huge room. A large rectangular box the size of her made of unknown material was sitting in the middle of the room. There was a strange device at the end of the room. It was like one of those wheels where a magician’s assistant is strapped to and then he starts to throw the knives blindfolded. With a sign from Sark the two guards strapped her to the turning table. Then he walked over to a small table in the corner and picked something up. The object glinted in the little ray of light that was coming from the other room. He walked over to her and flickered the knife in front of her face. Stacey was over comed with fear, suddenly she felt a sharp pain on her left arm. Sark cut a deep slit on her left arm and smirks as the blood flows out of the wound.
“You see, you’re like the key to all of this. You blood will dissolve the substance, then I can get what I want.” he said as he made 2 more cuts, Stacey didn’t yell out in pain. She wouldn’t, something that her mother taught her long ago. Never give in to your enemy. She didn’t know what she meant back then, but now she do. More cuts were made on her stomach and her legs. Blood were gushing out by the second.
“So once you get what you want I can go right?” she asked
“If you can than yes, you’re more than welcome to.” more cuts, deeper and longer this time. She was now in the world between consciousness and unconsciousness., and she felt herself being lifted into the air, she thought she was delusional from all the pain. In truth she wasn’t, the turn table was being raised into the air and then side ways so Stacey who was strapped to it is parallel facing the rectangular box beneath her. Her blood began to trickle down and a drop hit the box. A sizzling sound made Sark smile. Yes indeed she was the Rambladi girl, the prophecy is coming true. Rambaldi’s ultimate weapon is being revealed, by the woman that he prophesied. Who would ever thought that the daughter of Sydney Bristow would be the Rambaldi girl, he himself certainly didn’t. More sizzling sound Stacey was unconscious from the abnormal position and her head was dropped to her chest. The blood just kept on dripping from her now
frail body. With a sizzling sound a hole was burnt though the box, Sark grinned, finally he would have what he’s been after for 10 years. He found the Rambladi box never knowing how to open it. The about 8 years ago he retrieved a document stating that the Rambaldi girl can open the box, with her blood. He was giddy then, but there was only one problem — to find the Rambaldi girl, who is she? It was by chance that he came across Anastasia Vaughn’s blood test the other day. At first he didn’t think much of it, but then he thought the name sounded familiar. Even though he would’ve never thought that Anastasia is the Rambaldi girl he thought it would just be fun to check up upon his old archenemies’ daughter. Through looking at the blood test at first sight it was nothing unusual, but then he found a pattern, a pattern that looked vaguely familiar to him. Indeed it was Rambaldi’s DNA sequence for his girl, and now here he was opening some thing that he worked long and hard for.

The blood already dissolved enough substance for him to look through it. The mechanism looked complicated in the dim light. It was not for another hour that the whole top of the box was completely dissolved and it gave Sark a complete view of the object. He almost gasped in his surprise, it was complicated looking no doubt, but it was exactly what he need. The he motioned for his guards to lower the girl. Her body was limp, he walked over to her and try to feel for a pulse. She was alive, barely, but alive. Her face was pale and she was unconscious.
“Toss her outside, she’s done.” The guards dragged her away and tossed her outside the building.

Sydney walked in on her father when he was on the phone.
“I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT YOU RECRUITED MY GRANDDAUGHTER! AND YOU TOLD HER NOT TO TELL HER WHOLE FAMILY!” silence was over the phone.
“DO YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY YOU DID THIS?!” more silence.
“BEN DEVLIN ANSWER ME! I KNOW YOU HAVE A GOOD EXCUSE! SO TELL ME! TELL ME WHAT YOU WERE THINKING WHEY YOU RECRUITED LAURA!” again silence.
“Dad, can I talk to Devlin please.” Jack was red from all the one sided yelling so he huffed and handed the phone to Sydney.
“Director Devlin, we’ve always have a pretty good relationship in my mind. So can you give me a reason why you RECRUITED MY DAUGHTER TO THE CIA WITH OUT CONSULTING MY FATHER, MY MOTHER, MY HUSBAND OR MYSELF? I DON’T THINK YOU WOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORCE HER TO KEEP THAT A SECRET TO HER OWN PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY WERE ALL INVOLVED IN THE CIA!”
“Agent Bristow, I understand you are upset.”
“Don’t agent Bristow me Devilin! You know that I hate that kind of felgercarb.” More silence, she gave a urrrggghhh and hanged up.
“I can’t believe him!” Jack said, Sydney walked wordlessly out of the room.
“Anything?” she asked Laura.
“No contact have been made and none of our assets have see Sark lately. And we can’t get anything from the note either.”
“So we have NO leads.” Laura shook her head and Sydney sighed, Vaughn hugged her gently afraid that she might be at the breaking point.

It was the cold and pouring rain that woke Stacey up, she was groggy, powerless. It took her a few tries to get herself up, but once she was up it was easy to walk. She found herself wondering the cold streets of a strange city, she knew she needed food and water to stay alive. She walked up to a restaurant, looking up at the sign it said Trattoria de Nardi. She thought it was familiar, but couldn’t place it any where. Suddenly she felt herself losing consciousness, she fell backwards as the world fades around her. She never hit the ground.

Chapter 7: The Mysterious Man

Sark was pleased, he had what he’s been waiting for, for a whole decade. A guard interrupted his train of thought.
“Sir, the girl left.”
The girl have more than I thought. Guess she is like her mother.
“Let her go, she’s no use now anyways.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* In L.A. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Laura walked in a fast pace towards her parents who were talking quietly in a corner, her mother’s eyes were red and puff.
“One of our assets in Rome spotted Sark a few hours ago.” Her mother jumped up.
“Where?”
“Some warehouse.”
“Do you have the coordinates?”
“Yes.”
“Get me thirty men, we leave for Rome now!” she said turning to Vaughn. And he rushed away to follow her orders.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Some where in Rome *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Stacey woke up to the scent of a fresh breeze that brought in the aroma of early spring drizzle. She was in a big and comfy bed with a veil all around her bed. Where am I she thought. She was in a room full of Victorian furniture, very elegant, and beautiful. She tried to sit up but the pain all over her body stopped her.
“non dovreste provare a sedersi in su ancora.” (you shouldn’t try to sit up yet.” a voice said. Stacey try to shift her head towards the voice. He saw a young man walking around and was washing a cloth in a basin. He looked 5”8’ well built with a handsome face and dirty blond hair. He walked towards her and leaned over the bed to placed the damp cloth on her forehead.
“Iete bruciandosi in su con una febbre” (you’re burning up with a fever) She recognized the Italian coming out of his mouth, but for some reason she can’t remember how to say it back.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know what to say.” she said with her hoarse voice.
“You speak English” the man said.
“American.” she managed to say.
“You lost a lot of blood. But the doctor gave you a blood transfusing, you should be fine in a couple of weeks.” he said in a soft voice that hinted his Italian accent. His green eyes shown concern for her. Stacey’s eyes began to close again, soon she was asleep.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Warehouse in Rome ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Team one in position.”
“Copy. Team two report on your status.”
“Team two in position.”
“Copy. We move in on three.”
“One…Two… Three.” Sydney, Vaughn, Laura and thirty other tactical team members stormed into the warehouse where Sark was hiding with his weapon. There wasn’t as many guards as they thought there would be, and Sydney found Sark unprotected in his office. She pointed the gun at him.
“What did you do to my daughter?!“ He took out his own gun, but Sydney was too fast for him, she shot his hand before he had a good grip on it so he dropped it. She pushed him against the wall and pointed the end of the gun at his heart.
“I’ll ask again. What did you to Stacey.”
“She just dropped in for a little visit and helped me with something that I needed.” Sydney pressed the gun harder into him.
“She helped me opened a Rambaldi device. That’s it. And I let her go afterwards.” a little fear shown though his voice.
BANG!
A shot went off, the bullet went right into Sark’s heart, at point blank range. His crippled body fell to the floor. At that moment the door flew open.
“Mom, come and see this.” Laura said, but looked at the crippled body instead. She would have never thought that her MOTHER was capable of killing someone.
“What is it?” Sydney said changing the subject as she start to walk out of the room. Laura followed her giving a last glance at what use to be Sark.
“A box, it looks like it’s been dissolved, but it doesn’t look like any substance that we ever use.” Sydney walked into the room, the <0> told her it was the Rambaldi artifact.
“Syd.” Vaughn said softly, she walked towards him. He showed her his glove that he had been wearing. Dark red blood covered the rubber glove.
“Oh my god.” Sydney whispered.
“We HAVE to find Stacey, omg, it’s her blood.”
“What?!” Vaughn said, suddenly alarmed.
“Sark said that he used her to open a Rambaldi artifact.”
“Where is she now?!”
“Sark let her go, which I’m interpreting as dumping her in the middle of no where.”
“Lets go.” Laura interrupted. Twenty minutes later Laura found a patch of blood outside of the where house, but with no body insight.
“Mountaineer, Boy scout, We might have a problem.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Back to Some Where in Rome *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Stacey woke up again, only this time, she found the man staring at her.
“What time is it?”
“It’s 2 o’clock in the afternoon on March 31st.”
“How long have I been here?”
“A day. How are you feeling?”
“A little better.”
“Do you think you can eat something.”
“Ya probably.” He opened the bedroom door.
“Martha bring some Clam Chowder up.”
“Martha?”
“My maid.”
“You have a maid?”
“Ya.” Five minutes later, ‘Martha’ brought her a bowl of clam chowder with a piece of bread and butter, served in fine china all on a silver platter.
“Wow, very exquisite for a girl that you picked up on the streets.”
“What do you mean?” he asked his eyes flickering with confusing.
“Well you found me on the streets, literally. Now you’re feeding me with a fine platter and let me stay in this beautiful room. And I still don’t even know your name. Who are you?”

loved it? hate it? thought it was okay????
