yes, you are civilization... right?
well, i didn't finish as much as I wanted to, heck, this isn't long at all... but here's a little blurb from the next chapter- for twinkletoes, and the rest of civilization...
"Dead..." Sydney echoed.
"Yup. Please, please. Hold your applause," Weiss stated, waving to his unseen fans.
"Weiss, be serious. How can we be sure it's him?" Sydney said, trying to see it from all angles. It was too simple...how could Sark just be...
dead ?
"You're right Syd," Vaughn agreed, as he stooped to pick up Sark's gun, "Besides Lennox, there was that other double."
"Come on you guys, can't you just accept he's dead? Gone? Kicked the bucket? Dead as a-"
"Weiss," Sydney interrupted, "we're just trying to consider every option." Weiss looked thoughtful. Suddenly, his eyes grew wide in fear.
"Oh...my..god. He's MOVING!" Weiss cried. Vaughn jumped about a mile, running into Sydney. They toppled to the floor, yet again. Both turned back toward where Sark was lying. The air was deathly silent, everyone staring at Sark's body. Suddenly, Weiss began to giggle hysterically.
"You..should've....seen the look on...your...faces," Weiss managed, doubling over. Full blown laughs escaped his throat, until Sydney threw one of her heels at him.
"Weiss, a major ass-kicking is totally in order," Sydney cried as she let her head thump on the floor. It wasn't until some moments later that she realized Michael Vaughn was still sprawled on top of her. She looked at him, and he smiled.
You really need to stop doing that Syndey thought as her heart rate practically tripled. He frowned, saying, "You okay, Syd? Your heart is beating really fast."
It was then Sydeny noticed that his hand was holding her wrist down on the floor. This forced her heart into high speed, as she reluctantly yet thankfully wriggled her arm free. "Oh, I'm okay," she managed. He smiled again, blushing slightly. He started to get up, reaching for Sydney's hand to held her. Sydney silently pleaded for him to come back. Then her wish was unpleasantly answered.
Vaughn started to get up, when all of a sudden, a man burst through the door, gun drawn. No one moved, the man looked unbelievably like Sark. Then he raised his gun, sending Vaughn careening for cover, pulling Sydney's hand. They toppled behind a couch, same position as earlier. Neither had time to feel anything as Vaughn tossed Sark's gun to Sydney and pulled out his own. One shot rang out. Vaughn and Sydney looked at each other, then cautiously glanced over the couch.
well, hoped you liked the blurb. tell me what you thought.
