Season 3 Memories of Rambaldi

 I am really confused. After giving much thought to the season finale, I have some important questions and maybe I just missed something somewhere. But, thinking back I recall all of the missions that Syd went on for SD-6 when she was a double agent. Often times, she would replace the actual Rambaldi artifacts with fakes and hand off the fakes to Sloan. So how did Sloan aquire all of the devices...? And what about the devices that Syd destroyed. Remember that antique record player hidden in that ice cavern. Didn't she destroy it with some powerful spray from the CIA? How can Sloan then put together "The Telling" without all of the pieces? Am I missing something? Please educate me. Thanks

I just assumed there were more than 47 Rambaldi artifacts (so the music box isn't necesarily a part of the telling), and Sloane had 23 (or was it 24) real artifacts before Syd realized what she was doing, and the 24 (or was it 23) the CIA had were the doubles of the fakes she had given SD-6. But maybe that's just too neat of an explanation...what do you think?

Wasn't there a big to-do made about the NSA not informing the CIA that their artifacts had been stolen, after Sydney followed her mom's tip and raided the warehouse? So, everything Sydney had stolen for the CIA and given copies to Sloane, was in fact then re-stolen by Sloane from the CIA. This would have to somehow include the information Sydney got from the music box before she destroyed it, right?

Ummm... member in the hockey rink, Syd said to Irina "you stole rambaldi artifacts from the u government" soo Irina stole them and took them to Sloane i think...

Well, Sloane has been hunting them for over 30 (?) years, so he's sure to have a bunch there. Plus all the artifacts Syd recovered and gave to the real CIA...

Not every Rambaldi artifact we've seen is part of "the telling," remember. There were a bunch of parts that went into the "firebomb," which was a different thing altogether. And we can surmise that the eternal-life orchid isn't a cog in the machine. The music box is not a part of that machine. It is something else entirely. Rambaldi didn't invent only one thing, he invented many things, plus he was an artist and architect. Busy guy . . .

Meanwhile, Sloane must have realized (if NSA had pieces substituted by Sydney/Jack) that this had been the case when he received that cache.
