This stuff isn't really big, but there isn't a lot of news today.

Jennifer Garner one of two West Virginia natives on the cover of People - Jennifer for her split with Scott Foley, and Jessica Lynch the American POW that was rescued.

Quick mention of Alias here about how everything on ABC except Alias is "a big bore" (according to the writer).

Another mention of Playmakers, an ESPN series to be produced by John Eisendrath, an Alias producer and former college football player was made here.

And of course what-to-watch today articles in newspapers like this one.

Well, have a great day and enjoy today's "A Free Agent" repeat (see below).

Well, I have to kinda agree with that one writer about Miracles (the "big bore" writer). ABC buys a series that is atmospheric and mysterious and takes time to build it's mythos--that is, one that by definition takes time to build an audience--and repeatedly promotes episodes only to preempt them without notice (I can understand doing it for the start of a war, but for a re-run of The Practice?). The fans don't want to stick with the series because they know that the network won't bother. Why do they even bother investing the money? Why not just foist another piece of reality junk on us instead of getting our hopes up by promising us a series run by D Greenwalt?

Sorry for the rant, I suppose it's off-topic, but Alias at least has gotten a lot more support from ABC than that, so I suppose we should be very grateful about that!
;)
