i dunno if you guys like british comedy...but you have to love monty python...
the show is great if you liked Monty Python and the Holy Grail
well, yes...its just classic thats all i kin say... ^_^
 
I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail today. I'd seen it before, but I was just in the mood to watch it. It's soooo stupid but so incredibly funny!! :rotflmao:

"I'm not dead yet!"
"Yes you are!"
"I feel happy!"

"Someday, all this will be yours."
"What? The curtains?"

"You've got two empty halves of a coconut and you're banging them together!"

Oh gosh... I could go on and on and on.................. :rotflmao:
 
If you're every having a bad day... watch it!! You will die laughing!! Although... a lot of people I know hated it while they were watching it the first time, and then loved it when they finished it. At any rate, it's hilarious!!

"Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"

"I'll bite your legs off!"

"Fechez la vache!"

"We are... the knights who say... NI!!"
 
Honestly...*gulp* I haven't seen any of those. I do love "Keeping up Appearances" and "Mr. Bean." Can you get much better than Mr. Bean??? Hee hee. *Bean* If only you could do voices in writing.............. :rotflmao:
 
Since this is becoming a british comedy TV show thread(which makes me very happy :smiley: )...anyone seen the young ones(sooo funny!!) or the fall and rise of reginald perrin(yay reggie!!!!)
 
I actually saw the holy grail at school...and I really loved it :D

I liked the part where they said WE ARE THE KNIGHTS WHO SAY NI!! :lol: :woot:
that was just hilarious!!!
 
I'm Canadian who loves British comedy. "Keeping Up Appearances," "Are You Being Served," "Fawlty Towers," are my favourite British sit coms . . . and yes of course the ultimate British comedy of all, . . . WAIT FOR IT . . . is "Monty Python's Flying Circus." I endup watching it every Monday at 8 p.m. on the Comedy Channel, which is a Canadian Channel - it used to show "Fawlty Towers" on Saturday afternoons, but apparently not any more.
I watch "Are You Being Served?" and "Keeping Up Appearances" through a public channel that I get through cable which broadcasts through Detroit - which is odd since I live in Vancouver, but I am glad that I can watch the reruns in anycase.

Well, I'm aware the last reply was over 3 years ago, but it need to be said: 'Keeping Up Appearances' is quite possibly the worst British sitcom ever made. It's so mind numbingly boring!

No wonder why you Americans think us English are all posh when you've got that to judge us on.

Try good British comedies, like:

The Young Ones
Bottom
One Foot In The Grave
Only Fools And Horses
The Office
Fawlty Towers

Then you'll see what the English are really like.
 
Ha-ha, my friend has all the episodes on a boxed DVD set, and we watch them religiously.

"That's Harold the Sheep. he's UNIQUE!"

I can't tell you how many times I'll be sitting at my desk in work, and just start humming the lumberjack song. I don't even realize I'm doing it until they tell me to shut up.
