The cost of that cosplaying outfit is disturbingly expensive! Should be interesting to hear about the men in black suits excuse for when they turn up empty handed tomorrow at the press gathering :)

It'll be interesting to see what evidence they present, that's for sure.

Does the UK have similar monsters loose? I know I saw a documentary on a creature (a black leopard) that was supposedly loose in the woods in a UK forest, but I don't recall much more.

Scotland has Nessie, The Pacific Northwest USA & Canada has Bigfoot, Tibet has the Yeti, Mexico has the Chupacabra, and then of course there are bunch of local US legends (eg: The Jersey Devil).

Not counting mythical creatures (eg: dragons of many Asian cultures, etc.), what else is out there?

There is the odd story of a big cat that appears in the news. Drivers noticing them as they pass by, etc. Some blurry pics from time to time. A lot easier to explain as escaped animals from zoo's or private collections. Especially when compared to bigfoot/yeti
