Hi! This is my first post ever on this site. :smiley: This is exciting.

Anyways... I hate to disagree with people on my first post, but I don't think that A Moment Like This would be fitting. Don't get me wrong, it's a catchy and very popular song, but that's just it... it's REALLY popular. Even my father knows the song. Here's a list of songs that Abrams has put in episodes that have had a lot of radio time (feel free to add... I'm working from memory here):
Walk On, by U2
You're a God, by Vertical Horizon
Blister in the Sun, by the Violent Femmes
Angel, by Sarah McLachlan
No Such Thing, by John Mayer
Dream On, by Depeche Mode

I was a huge Felicity fan and I've noticed that Abrams has used the same type of music for both of his shows... he even used Kate Bush's This Woman's Work in a season 1 episode of Alias (the song is on the first Felicity soundtrack). So while it would be cool to use a song like A Moment Like This, it's not likely to happen. Mmm... thinking of the first Sydney-Vaughn kiss... 🤤 :D
I would love to hear more Joni Mitchell... River (from one of the eps this season) is one of my favorite songs, but I'm not sure how much her stuff fits in with the show. Some more Norah Jones or Chantal Kreviazuk would be nice too, or potentially Bic Runga.

it's ok to disagree. thats what the forums are about. and i haven't heard of any of those songs. (maybe cuz i dont listen to the radio often)
 
hey this is a bit off topic, but did you know you can dowload the alias intro song for your cell phone? im still trying to convince my dad... but its not my cell phone. when i get one, oh yeah baybeeee

As for music on the show, I think "Flood" & "Disappear" by Jars of Clay (or almost anything off of their newest album, "The Eleventh Hour") and "Goodbye To You" by Michelle Branch. (I put links to the lyrics up, so you can click on the song title if you've never heard of it and you are interestec) :smiley:

hehe. same here. my mom already has a ring like Syd's phone....and a whole lot of wp's and pictures and homepages, and settings of ALIAS stuff on her work com thanks to Muah. i woring on my ownm cell though...then i can have an alias ringtone and an alias phone cover!
 
They have the Alias theme for Cingular Nokias, but it doesn't sound anything like the Alias theme.
 
Just imagine if we all had a cell phone, we could all call each other and say "Joey's pizza" and "wrong number." Hehe...that'd be funny.
 
that would be a riot....and guess what?????? it's Christmas day and i can have my alias ringtone because......I got a cellie for Christmas!! weeeee!

That is so cool SB! Have you got it all setup already? I'm sure you do. My dad had one and I just loved to play with it and see how cool a cell phone was. Hehe...I'll bet you're glad you have one.
 
yeah, it's set up and all.....my mom was getting really sick of me putting all kinds of stuff on hers so i'm sure she was just as happy to get it for me as i was!

-Phantom Planet "Somebody's Baby" or something by The Strokes for a Will and love interest scene
-Badly Drawn Boy "The Shining" for a Irina/Jack bittersweet scene
-Club Mix of "Habanera" from the opera Carmen for a mission (preferably in Spain)
I can't think of anymore now, but I'll have more ideas later, I'm sure...

Norah Jones! Yeah man. I'm a big fan.
I like the idea of Norah Jones' "Come Away With Me" for a Syd/Vaughn kiss scene. Or perhaps "Coming Up For Air" by Patty Larkin (I think the song is on the Sliding Doors soundtrack... it was in the movie, anyways... John Hannah- from the Colorblind ep- is in it).
For a Syd "crying" scene, maybe "Calling All Angels" by Jane Siberry (from the Pay it Forward soundtrack... and also an episode of Roswell). It's a great song.

Yeah! I totally was! I remember thinking "hm... what song is this? Sounds like Bob Dylan... Yeah... it's him. What's his song doing on Alias?" Definately a good surprise though. I really like that song. It's also played in Jerry Maguire, and I think it's on the soundtrack.
 
I think that Avril Lavigne's stuff should be on there. Almost anything on her CD Let Go. There are some good boy band songs that could play, but they could be used in the club/ restaurant of Fracie's. BBMak's I'm Still On Your Side is a good one or the song I'm Not in Love by them would be good in the restaurant when Syd and Will are together.
