HEY!! I'm back, and I'm glad you guys liked it! So, Here's more. Thoughts are in italics, just like this. This takes place one month earlier(EDIT: NOW ONE WEEK). As of now. But don't kill me if it turns out to be less. A lot happens in a day in my stories, in case you haven't noticed.
ONE MONTH (EDIT: WEEK) EARLIER
The first warning sign that Sydney claimed she should have picked up on, happened when Sydney and Vaughn were opening gifts when they got back from Hawaii. Sydney had gone to get them some water. When she returned, Vaughn was closely inspecting a pair of binoculars. She handed him a glass, and wrapped the hand not holding her own glass around him as she sat on the floor next to him.
"Who's that from?" she kissed him lightly on the cheek.
Vaughn tensed, but Sydney didn't notice. Much.
"Um, I don't know. There's no card."
"Oh," said Sydney, not giving it much thought. "I hope they don't miss a thank you card."
"No one remembers that they are supposed to get one."
"Good point."
Vaughn put down the binoculars. "This is boring."
Sydney shot him a look. "Do you have another way to pass the time?"
"Maybe..." said Vaughn mischeviously, and pulled her into a kiss.

Will was working on a new project, China's black market. Or rather trying to. Something was wrong with his computer. Everything kept freezing, and a slow staticy line, the kind that sometimes shows up on really old tapes from the video store, was moving down the screen.
Will let out a sigh. You'd think that the government would have better technology than this. He got out of his chair, and walked over to Weiss, who, once again, was just sitting in his chair, playing with a yo-yo.
"Hey, Eric," said Will. "I hate to interupt, since I see you're hard at work, but can I borrow your computer for a while?"
"You're a work-a-holic you know that?"
"Yes," said Will simply.
"Sorry, princess, but my computer's not working either. Keeps freezing."
"What is this an epidemic? The CIA has computer problems."
"Your's too?"
"Yeah. What about Vaughn or Syd?"
"I don't know their passwords. And they're both still on vacation." He said "vacation" in a way that suggested that there was more going on than a break from work. Which there was.
"What about Chrissy?" (A/N that would be Christine Phillips, remember she and Will are engaged?)
"No, I asked her earlier, her's is down too. And that's everyone I know here."
"Yeah," said Weiss, jokingly. "Where's Marshall when you need him?"
All the joking left. The two grew silent. Ever since Marshall's death three years ago, people tried to avoid talking about him.
"Anyway," said Will, ackwardly breaking the silence, "I can't do my report, or my research without my computer."
"No duh."
"Doesn't it strike you as odd that all the people we know have down computers?"
Weiss didn't answer, but silently agreed.

Sydney awoke the next morning to two things: a note, and rose petals all over your bed. She gathered some petals in her hands and inhaled the smell. She picked up the note and read:
Dear Syd,
Went out for a run. Don't worry, I'll be careful.
I love you- Michael.
PS Like the petals? There's one for every million things I love about you... I'm gonna need more petals.
Sydney laughed. "I love you too," she whispered, although obviously Vaughn couldn't hear her. She felt a stab of worry. After all, Sydney had been out for a run when she had been kidnapped all those years ago. But you weren't paying attention. Vaughn will be careful.
Sydney picked up the photo album of their wedding and settled back into bed.

However, as it turned out, Sydney didn't have to worry. Because Vaughn wasn't out for a run. He was sitting in a church, listening to a voice as it echoed through the halls.
"So," said Alice, "Do you know why I called you here?"
"To piss me off?"
"Ha ha, so funny, as always. This is very simple. I am trying to build my own organization. And to do that, I need information from and about the CIA."
"And," said Vaughn standing up, "I would love to help an evil @$$hole like you but-"
"SIT DOWN MICHAEL VAUGHN!"
"What are you my mother?"
"No, but she will be killed if you do not cooperate. But not before Sydney. And trust me when I say, Sydney's death will be the worst of all."
"YOU LAY A HAND ON HER AND I SWEAR-"
"What do you expect to be able to do to me, Michael? You can't even find where I am in this building!"
Vaughn paused, thinking it over. There was no alternative. "Fine."
Alice smiled. "Be sure that she doesn't catch on. Or your wife will meet the same fate as Marshall Flinkman."
Vaughn froze. "Marshall was murdered outside a movie theatre three years ago."
"Marshall was murdered outside a movie theatre three years ago. And they never found the killer."
Realization dawned on him. Alice had killed Marshall herself. "You b*tch. Why?"
"Because he was close to finding out about me. And if Sydney ends up close as well, she will meet a much more gruesome death."
Vaughn knew that he had to protect Sydney. She was all that mattered. "What do you need me to do?"
That's all for now!! Hope you liked it and PLEASE review!!!
And Alias Elle, I know that you'll probably say something about changing the times, so I'm sorry. But I couldn't drag it out for an entire month. I've gotta get to the point.
